I think that skit is absolutely hilarious...especially when the mousy looking guy gets as close as about ten feet away, she looks at him and immediately picks up the phone to call security!
I laugh my butt off every single time I see that!
Why do you specify Non Asian Minority?
1. You need reading comprehension lessons. I never said that the men in the video had ‘honorable’ intentions.
2. Your comment:
“FYI, just wanting to get into a womans pants are, or were, considered dishonorable intentions” implies that I think it’s honorable or okay for a man to want to a use a woman simply to get into her pants. My simple reply is that you are an ignorant jerk.
Thank you for the lesson in wisdom as I now know that liberals do not hold a monopoly on the willingness to create ‘facts’ to back up their argument.
same here... that same thing... just reaching for the phone when he is 10 feet away... I lose it.
You said, and I responded to, “How would you suggest a man meet a woman he finds attractive and would like to meet with honorable intentions?”
The obvious implication was that some of the men in the video may have had such intentions and therefore should be given a pass on their behavior.
The guys in the video, and IMO any man who approaches a woman in public in this way is extremely unlikely to have any intention other than getting into her pants. Do you disagree?
I believe honorable men simply do not approach strange women in such a way. If they do, they more or less by definition indicate they are not honorable and neither are their intentions.
As I pointed out, she chose to walk around an area where such vulgar behavior would be expected. It is inhabited by Feral fantasy Sons of Obama and Third World types, what a shocker.
As far as being harassed, men paying attention to a nice looking woman has been happening since the Garden of Eden.
If she walked into a Freeper Reunion, I doubt she would be subject to the same type of behavior by the Males in attendance. Well, maybe Laz... LOL
I also have a problem with the word “harassed”. I didn’t waste my time looking at the Woman’s entire silly Video, but from what I’ve seen, only some of the commentary would appear to be harassment. Acknowledgement, yes. Vulgar, possibly. Unexpected, not by me.
Now, if she was stuck in an Elevator with Bill Clinton...
I certainly hope you weren’t implying that I am some sort supporter of the fantasy War on Women.
Here’s a bit of Trivia for you. The Person that really started the War on Women is Ted Kennedy. He started it in the early 60’s inside his Oldsmobile. He just made sure there where no Witnesses.
I didn’t know you when you were young, just as I don’t know you now. When I was young people behaved differently.
Were you harassed because of your appearance back then? If so, nothing has changed, if not, everything has changed.
I come from an area where saying “hello”, “how ya doing”, “good morning”, and assorted other greetings and complements are the norm from everyone to everyone at every passing. If not verbal then at least eye contact and a smile. I pity you if your background construes those, as occurred in most instances depicted in that video, as somehow hostile or offensive.
Of course a few shown were offensive. Run a camera on an attractive woman for 10 hours while walking thru a dense population and yes you’ll get a few jerks; those do not impute evil on the polite.
And yes, it’s absurd to dress attractively and expect nobody notice. I actually find it frustrating when someone does dress very attractively yet I’m somehow forbidden to complement her.
Project much?
I don't see where I mentioned crotch grabbing, leering,, looking at you "up and down" or exposing myself.
In the context of the article, a good morning was considered harassment and cat calling.
That woman walking the street? Attention whore, nothing more, and all she has for ten hours worth of walking is what she showed?
Not impressed.
I know no one else here agrees, so I'll use this example: I had a close friend who was tall and slender. She couldn't go anywhere without being cat-called (by white men). They would whistle; sing to her; make comments about her legs, her figure; try to get close to her, etc. Not much different from what you see in that NYC video.
When I was young and in college, I thought I wanted to go into criminal justice. My professor gave me an assignment to go to a prison and meet up with his friend who worked there. When my dad heard about the assignment, he insisted that I go with him. So dad and I met my professor’s friend and did a tour of the prison.
You talk about cat calls! It was more like demon calls. Even though they were behind bars, my stomach hurt when I finally got out of there. I threw up next to dad’s car. If looks could kill, I would have died a thousand deaths.
So much for criminal justice. I despise criminals. My criminal justice professor laughed. He knew but needed for me to see for myself.
precisely Sarah- that woman in the video whines about ‘cat calls’ but doesn’t have a freakin clue what real actual harassment really is- she should be forced to walk the halls of prisons for weeks on end until it sinks into her thick whiny skull that what she is receiving o nthe street is nothing- like I said earlier in a post, she is a whiny little liberal that thinks it’s the government’s job to insulate her from ANYTHING she might find objectionable even if they are not
Hey now!
When people ask what I do in reality, I direct them to youtube with instruction to search for "cat herding".
