Earlier this month, Symone Greene, a 22-year-old substitute teacher at Options Public Charter School in Washington, D.C., allegedly provided oral sex to a 17-year-old male student on the first day of her teaching assignment, in her classroom, right behind the teacher’s desk.

As a result of the frisky encounter, the family of the 17-year-old male student has now filed a $3 million lawsuit, NBC Washington reports.

Adultery for sure, 17 is usually legitmately beyond the age of consent.

Hey, you know what, I would be angry as a parent, but with two people.

We are in a mess these days no matter how we slice it.

This looks like a profit taking move to me. It will further instruct their son on what not to do, by doing it. There are people who dream of an opportunity to profit from some event. I think the parents are losers to be frank.

A “Lewinsky” AND $3 Million! That’s what I call a profitable 10 minutes...

To put things into their proper perspective, Van Halen didn't even make 3 million bucks off their song Hot For Teacher.

She has used her official capacity, a job of public trust, and abused a minor. She should be hung.

The standard is different because females get pregnant, so it’s more serious if the student had been a girl.

On the other hand, other than a breach of professionalism which should cost her her career, this should not be a criminal issue.

Only becomes a criminal issue in a feminized society, where the law erroneously views the sexual behavior of males the same as of females.

A public official abusing her office and the public trust should be a jailable offense and sex with a minor should be too.

Agree. But I think the 17 year old could have said no.

For all we know he initiated it.

In any event, 3 million? Really? I think she should lose her job and access to teaching anyone. That alone is punishment enough.

The 3 million is just greed and will not end well for the parents or the young man.

Or not. I am trying to square how they arrived at 3 million, how was that amount computed?

What will they fix with the money? Give it to charity or retire to the good life years before they could have possibly hoped for?

Suers are typically sewers. Just my opinion.

Here is the problem.

It’s already difficult for parents to reign in a hormonally-driven 17 year old. We’re trying to get this kid to think rationally and to value morality and relationships. We’re trying.

We already live in a hypersexualized society. We send them to school - a system that we’re *all* paying for - and assume that this is the one place where we can breathe. If the kid had been busted fooling around with another kid - hey. Kids are stupid.

But a TEACHER.

This is low.

This is not helping this young man to value himself, sex, women, marriage, or his future wife and daughters.

I try to keep in mind that he received from a 22 year old what he has probably received from girls his own age and younger. Does he need 3 million in psychiatric care? Did she bite his weenie off?

Does the trial lawyers association spend millions to buy reps and senators to ensure there will never be tort reform?

Yes, no, no and yes.

I think the parents are losers—it is obvious the kid was pretty proud of himself. Now, he hopes to cash in on a blow job. Sorry to be crude but he is probably as underhanded and greedy as his parents—who I maintain are losers.

They will settle out of court and money that should go toward a novel outcome, actually educating and disciplining these reprobates will go to trial lawyers, and the taxpayers will fund the cost.

I hate most of what trial lawyers do. They do not look to resolve anything—see John Edwards the channeler of injured babies and spawner of bastards with a campaign volunteer. He doesn’t live in a tar paper shack crusading for just compensation for true victims, he is just a typical trial lawyer shark scenting blood in the water.

Same deal here in my very humble opinion. A confederacy of losers.

Initiated persued is irrelevant. Teacher didn’t have a gun to her head. She’s wrong.

Since she did this, most here will say she is ugly. I personally couldn’t tell from the photo. I imagine the 17yo thought she was pretty, he asked for her phone number.

Well, I seem to remember that Clinton was kicked out Oxford University in the UK for alleged sexual assault.

Who knows how many students he boinked as an instructor that couldn’t find the time to grade papers?

Fired definitely. Jailed, that’s up to the court to decide according to the law.

I am not defending what she did. I am not defending what he did. It is what happened and 3 million dollars for “damages” seems over the top.

I am done with the discussion.
