Keep a close eye on Texas Sen. Ted Cruz as a leading contender for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, says Mark Steyn, a leading conservative commentator from Canada.
"What I like about Cruz is that he doesn't preemptively seed the ground," Steyn said Tuesday on the "Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"When he's asked the question that's framed from a left-wing Democrat media perspective, he doesn't accept the premise of it. He says, 'No, no, no it's this way of looking at it.'
"Whether or not he's the nominee, it should be someone like that who actually does the Thatcher-Reagan thing of not preemptively seeding ground, but demanding that people actually move closer to where they are. That's what's very strong about Cruz."

I was staring into space, wondering why I’d never head of ‘seed the ground’, because I also know Steyn has perfect diction and spelling.
Cede not seed.
Really, there’s no other viable conservative in the conversation. No, I don’t especially trust him on immigration—but he’s at least much better on it than any other prospective candidate in the conversation.
CRUZ / WEST 2016!!
I was wondering the same thing about “seeding the ground”
