Accepting stolen goods makes one an accessory to the theft. Thad Cochran stole the nomination from Chris McDaniel, and is therefore not derserving of anyone’s vote. If the GOP maintains no standards, it is no better than the Democrats. I cannot support Cochran with a clear conscience.

I suspect Childers will be a far more moderate senator...
____________________________________________________________

Actually, Travis Childers is one of the few old-school, Truman-style, Conservative, Southern Democrats that’s left hanging around. He’s Pro-Life, Pro-Second Amendment, ANTI-Same/Sex Marriage and ANTI-Amnesty.

But, I’m still very surprised this is in a “Redstate” publication. I’ve often wondered what Chris McDaniel and his ardent supporters are going to do in the General Election. I doubt they will vote for Cochran, I just wonder if they will “sit-out” the Senate race or do a “write-in”..... even though write-in votes are not counted. If anyone knows, I’d appreciate hearing from you.

Yeah, that will teach them a lesson...

This message brought to you by Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz.

This is way too funny. Don’t worry though, My Wife’s Family in Mississippi will probably Vote for the Democrat since most of them have contracted Libola.

Two points:

You cannot ‘teach’ the GOPe a lesson. They would rather a Democrat take a seat than see a Conservative in it. For them, short term pain fulfills long-term goals: ridding the GOP of Conservative relevance.

They hate Conservatives as much as the Democrats do and they will employ the vile and the despicable to rid the party of any Conservative running as we saw in MS.

They have already told us that they intend to surrender power to the Democrats and govern as Democrats BEFORE the Congress is even seated.

But it is not just what they did in MS and the primaries to sabotage Conservatives - witness the fact that Conservatives on the General ballot next week are saying that they are getting no help against the Democrats by national GOP PACs. None. Just ask Scott Walker. Just ask Dan Bongino.

TWO:

The GOP was not, and IS NOT a Conservative party. Reagan gave Conservatives a home within the party - but the Establishment was embarrassed by Reagan, and loathed him more than they did the Democrats. The Rockefeller Establishment has spent the last 30 years working to render Conservative influence in the party irrelevant and rigged the internal structure to ensure that Conservatives cannot ‘take over the party from within’.

The Ruling Class GOP will work hand-in-hand with Democrats to sabotage Conservatives. That is why I refer to the Ruling Class GOP as Judenrats for the MarxoFascists.

It’s too late to perform a hostile takeover with elections themselves filled with such incredible levels of fraud and corruption. The solution has to come from OUTSIDE the corrupted systems and from OUTSIDE the institutions and apparatus of D.C.

Elections are not going to fix where we find ourselves as a nation.

Make the GOPe pay the price where it counts, in the pocketbook. Vote Maness in Louisiana and the Libertarians in Georgia. Force Carl Rove and Mitch McConnell (and their counterparts in the Democratic Party) to pay for run-off campaigns.

This might be a strategy if the GOP pickup of the Senate was a slam dunk. Its not so vote for Cochran—still better than the Dem albeit with caveats already well known.

Well that was stupid. Were I in MS I would not vote for Reid.

This is crazy. Childers will make Cochran look like a partisan piker. Childers is tied into the disgraced Langston law firm and the sale of imminent domain property at Yellow Creek. If Childers gets elected, he and his cronies will have a fire sale on the properties along the Tennessee River. There is BIG money to be made. I made hold my nose and vote for Cochran but its better than sticking my head into a bucket of faeces and voting for Childers.

Balderdascious drivel.

The lesson to be learned will be that vindictive narrow minded focus accomplishes nothing. Nothing that is except elect Democrats.

This is ridiculous because first of all, unless you are from Mississippi, this isn't your fight.

And secondly, Real Clear Politics have this as a walk for Cochran.

Polling Data

Poll Date Sample MoE Cochran (R) Childers (D) Spread
RCP Average 6/25 - 10/23 -- -- 45.7 29.3 Cochran +16.4
CBS News/NYT/YouGov 10/16 - 10/23 654 LV 7.0 50 28 Cochran +22
CBS News/NYT/YouGov 9/20 - 10/1 826 LV 4.0 46 35 Cochran +11
CBS News/NYT/YouGov 8/18 - 9/2 976 LV 4.0 46 31 Cochran +15
CBS News/NYT/YouGov 7/5 - 7/24 LV 5.7 47 33 Cochran +14
PPP (D) 7/10 - 7/13 691 RV 3.7 41 26 Cochran +15
Rasmussen Reports 6/25 - 6/26 750 LV 4.0 46 34 Cochran +12
Rasmussen Reports 3/26 - 3/29 750 LV 4.0 48 31 Cochran +17
PPP (D) 11/15 - 11/17 502 RV 4.4 50 33 Cochran +17

Childers will not win. I'll gladly take bets!

Any conservative that votes for a democrat is not a conservative I ever wish to be associated with. I prefer beheading rather than voting democrat.

Would that McDaniel had chosen another route - Had he flipped to independent and kept running, no doubt he would have won. THAT would have been a clear repudiation of the GOPe, and their tactics. He would have also walked into the government with no ties but to the Conservatives who put him there.

Now, if Cochran loses, it will be spun as an endorsement of democrat ideals, though if he wins, it is an endorsement of RINO ideals, and a reward for dirty pool.

Tough.

First, I want to make one thing perfectly clear: It is the stated position of Erick and the mods that Red State advocates voting for the most conservative candidate in the primaries, and the Republican in the general election.

This is why Erick Erickson can't be taken seriously as a conservative leader.
