Anyone voting for Cochran is a fool.

This is the one race this cycle that I agree...wipe out Cochran and come back in 6 years to retake the seat. Their racist attacks in the runoff were the most offensive action ever taken in a primary race. It is abhorrent.

I’d vote for Roberts and the others because they won fair and square. I pause when it comes to Kentucky, but if Grimes wins, I see her keeping that seat for 20 years or more, and I don’t want to cede that seat when McConnell will be gone fairly soon anyway. Mississippi is different, and we can deal with one seat for six years.

“For a multitude of reasons, it’s time to put Cochran out to pasture, even if doing so requires electing a Democrat.”

That’s a nice conservative attitude! (/sarc)

Obama thanks you and all the other “cut off your nose to spite your face” so-called “conservatives” who are willing to destroy the country “just to get even” with Republicans.

I would sit out the MS Senate race if I were a MS voter, just as I have sat out the TX Senate and land commissioner races. I never vote Democrat or Libertarian or Green.

Mark Levin had a proposal: that each cycle Conservatives should identify one Senator to target for defeat in the general election by staying home or voting for the Democrat.

But only one, not enough to swing control of the Senate but enough to send a strong message about keeping to Conservative principles and that the Conservative base can organize.

IMHO thats a great idea, and the target this cycle should be Cochrane. He’s the one clear, unambiguous example of unrestrained assault on Conservatives using the most underhanded of Democrat race-baiting tactics. And he needs to go down.

If we do that, in 2016 we can target McCain for the same treatment.

Whatever else I may do, I’m not voting for Cochran. No matter what else I may do, that won’t change.

It’s a detestable choice between a ‘Rat and an old semi-coherent geezoid who’s campaign played the race card in the primary.

I don’t blame people for not wanting to vote for Cochran - but at the same time, a vote for Childers IS a vote for Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer and Pat Durbin..

My suggestion would be to not vote for that office. Up here in the suburbs of Minneapolis, I’m doing the very thing in the race for state representative. I cannot vote for the GOP candidate as she did some detestable things to win her primary back in August.

“GOP seats in Kentucky and Georgia that were earlier deemed at risk now appear safe.”

These seats are not “safe.” They appear to have withdrawn from the precipice, but are hardly in the bag.

If I lived in Boehner’s district I would vote for the Democrat.

However, 6 years is a long time.

Chris McDonald won the GOP primary. Thad the Cad committed gross, epic-level fraud. He should be headed to prison, not to the Senate.

Never, ever, ever buy into that “I promise to be an independent voice in Washington” crap from any democrat.. ever. Their party comes first and foremost.. much of the country could go up in a mushroom cloud, but if it leaves the dems in power over what’s left, they’d be thrilled.

I’ve voted for the Republican primary winner or nominee for the past 50 years, never having missed a primary, election or runoff, or voted for ademocrat, I was not comfortable to say the least but I supported them with my time, influence, money and vote. I’ll NOT voye for cochgran, of course I’ll not vote for childers, the democrat either or a third party “reform” party perinnal candidate. I’m writing in McDaniel, I know it won’t count. cochran will probably win but if he doesn’t it’s not my fault, that would lie with the NRSC, the Mississippi gop and the barbours. I have no doubt that cochran will retire but possibly we can make an impact before he does and make some changes in the Mississippi Rrepublican party and get a Conservative Senator appointed for a change instead of a barbour shil. POHB
There are a few errors in this something has happend to my PC and I cannot delete an error.

Totally agree. It is more important for conservatives for Cochran to go down than just about anything else. As a point of reference, look at how blacks are treated by Democrats! They vote 95% of the time with Democrats, and they would vote for Satan if he had a (D) next to his name. The result? Every time there is a policy choice that would benefit blacks or other constituencies, Democrats don’t hesitate to stab blacks in the back (from school choice, to gay friendly policies, to allowing illegal aliens in). Do conservatives want to end up like that? Well, the only alternative is to not allow ourselves to be taken for granted, and punish the GOPe for unacceptable behavior.

Remember Mississippi! If we play our cards right, we’ll make sure the GOPe remembers Mississippi as well the next time they even think of attaching conservatism to win elections.

Yes it is. The Mississippi Senate race is the only one I advocate that approach THIS YEAR. There are a number of other races at the US House level (e.g., Renee Elmers in North Carolina, an open Amnesty Advocate) where the Congress Critter’s duplicity is so despicable they deserve to be removed from office so they don’t counteract true conservative voices/votes within the Republican caucus.

I see both sides.

Our principal enemy in the Senate, however, is Harry Reid. He MUST be stopped at all costs.

There is no such thing as a moderate Democrat in the US Senate.
Travis Childers will not be the first one, either. He will go along to get along with Harry Reid, like the rest of the Dems.

Hold your nose and vote Republican.

You are not voting for Cochran-—you are voting to get rid of Harry Reid as the leader of the Senate.

That is the best service you can do for America at this moment in time—get rid of Harry Reid.

I am no longer a Republican. I want to see a new political arty and kick the GOP to the curb like the Whigs of old

However, in the one week we have remaining voting Republican is the best thing any of us can do for the nation as a whole.

It is what it is.

From your home page:

“The government and country that I want to live in is one that has freedom and respect for all and that is based on the constitution of the United States as it was originally written with the Bill of Rights and its amendments. I do not want socialism or a tyrannical government or anything that is heading to progressivism and radical anarchy and communism.
If you’re still reading this, here are twenty plus things about me.I am:

1. Anti-New World Order, Anti-IslamoFascism, Anti-Cultural Marxism, Anti-Statist and Anti-Obama.”

So how is this consistent with your trolling for a Democrat Senator and a Democrat Senate to support Obama?!
