Bechtel Corporation, the company that built Metros Silver Line in Northern Virginia, is bringing hundreds of jobs to that area, but its coming at the cost of Frederick, where the global engineering and project management firm is based, a move that is sparking frustration and anger.
The news hit Frederick like a ton of bricks. Nobody is happy about itnot politicians, not merchants.

Yikes!
I thought Bechtel was still here in the Bay Area.
Mining went to Denver, Pipeline to Houston, Power to Fredrick.
The Beale St. office is a shell of what it was 20 years ago, though it is still officially corporate HQ.
They didn’t build that.
Bechtel’s move from SF had excaped my radar screen.
I do note Bechtel’s is not moving far from the Washington
DC feeding trough.
“Reston wont prove to be much of an improvement.”
There are lots of high tech and defense companies around here to keep them company, although you’re right about the political leanings of locals here.
That's what I had in mind.
Move it away from Northern VA, take away the smug political correctness and taxes and it's a nice place.
Almost like the libtards who search out states that haven’t been polluted with the results of their politics only to spread it there after a time from continuing to vote with their feelings.
Bechtel will find out soon enough, aggressive Californianoma has metastasized to Northern VA, and spread to the lymph-towns (college towns) for some time. Unless conservatives rally hard it’ll get all Marylandy there if they’re not careful.
Bechtel already has a major engineering office in Houston.
Blue states need to die a painful economic death.
Maryland "Freak State" PING!
Frederick is another victim of limo lib DC bloodsuckers. They moved up there form their fed jobs and ruin it, thanks to Interstate 270 opening it up for them. Only in the last couple decades has it become hostage to the DC fools.
