A former CBS News reporter who quit the network over claims it kills stories that put President Obama in a bad light says she was spied on by a government-related entity that planted classified documents on her computer.
In her new memoir, Sharyl Attkisson says a source who arranged to have her laptop checked for spyware in 2013 was shocked and flabbergasted at what the analysis revealed.

I answered it in my original post to you. It isn't possible and the other articles proved this was a physical invasion attack, not an innocuous email attack. YOU were the one claiming the Mac was hacked by remote means.
You just go on flogging that dead horse corpse, for-q-clinton. It will eventually get you somewhere. . . but you will stink to high heaven. As to insults, they are only insults if they are not accurate and don't describe you to a T. That one does. You have demonstrated you have earned the title.
No Atkinson is the one that claimed it occurred via an email attack.
You only think you can. There are keyboard key loggers that can be installed inside the keyboard. . . or even in the USB cable connector. They will record every keystroke, including passwords, etc., and transmit them to a remote location via bluetooth or other wireless system, independent of your computer. Once they have your username and password, they are in.
What about people who vote ‘on behalf of’ 100 Joe Blows, or 1,000 Joe Blows (d)?
Voter fraud is an example of election fraud. They are not separable.
And you, in your inimitable anti-Apple rabidity, jumped on that to claim that I said it was impossible. I merely debunked that claim. . . and it is impossible for a Mac to be infected merely from receiving an email. I explained why.
You then claimed someone had figured out how to do it, despite all evidence to the contrary and how it was actually accomplished at Atkisson's computer was really compromised.
for-q-clinton chortles in reply #58 to Swordmaker:
"Haha... looks like someone knows how to install malware on a mac (sic) via email. Your world must be falling apart,"
Now, you are trying to back-track and distance yourself from your arguments and claims. . . because you've again been shown to be wrong. You are a sad, little troll, for-q-clinton.
You are STILL beating that poor dead horse, and proving your mental status. If you keep this up, everyone here will know that you are killing more of what brain cells you have left with each post and will be demoted even further.
Would you like us to bury your brain cells with the horse?
I agree. But what you described is voter fraud. Election fraud is more institutionalized. . . and takes place officially by trusted officials who have a duty to see to it that it is not done. It is malfeasance in a trusted position. The voter who does it should be fined/jailed. The trusted official who does it should be hanged for treason. THERE is the difference!
Familiar with this, thanks...my only concern is everything is political with these clowns and I do not put anything off the table...
Do you get the ‘posting without reading’ award for the day?
I’ve read all the stories about this woman’s work.
I took it to mean that he was surprised that FOX had not offered her a prominent position. If I had the power to do it, she'd be employed tomorrow.
I’m a Sharyl fan.
Will order her book this week.
I have NO sympathy for any reporter working for the mainstream media who has become a victim of this administration. They are the ones who helped put this idiot in power.
No doubt this reporter was in Grant Park on election night 2008, quivering with tears of joy running down his cheek drunk with the hope and change BS.
STFU and take your crocodile tears elsewhere.
>Yes I can lock down a windows machine to be safe even if I lose physical access.
I don’t know enough about to computers, so this may be a really stupid question, or the answer might be so long/technical that it isn’t feasible.
But can you post a list of actions to take to do this (and things to not do to lose access), in such a way that somebody moderately tech savvy could use your answers and google to find the relevant tools to do it themselves, starting with the purchase of a sterile machine?
Did you ever think about writing a how-to manual?
Those days ran from 2000 - 2008.
Just use whole drive encryption. Windows comes with bitlocker so you can just turn that feature on. But there are 3rd party ones as well. I’m sure Macs have it too—I’m just not familiar with them.

There is one “flaw” to bitlocker though. If the computer is left on or hibernated the security key can be obtained. It will take a sophisticated physical attack but it’s still a threat. Especially when dealing with the gov’t. If the machine is off then it’s secure.

This is a win-win for them. If she doesn’t find it, they monitor and destroy all of the whistleblowers. If she does find it, she’s a crazy, paranoid, right-wing conspiracy nut.
“ The breach was accomplished through an otherwise innocuous e-mail that Attkisson says she got in February 2012, then twice redone and refreshed through a satellite hookup and a Wi-Fi connection at a Ritz-Carlton hotel. - See more at: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/melissa-mullins/2014/10/27/ex-cbs-reporter-three-letter-government-agency-hacked-my-computer?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=marketing&utm_term=facebook&utm_campaign=attkinson-hacked#sthash.a3g1qytr.dpuf"
So now that it's known the government operatives of the Rat Party have painted a bulls-eye on her back which network *wouldn't* say to itself "do we want to be caught in the crossfire next time the government trains its sights on her?"
