Washington Post media reporter Erik Wemple called on CNN's Carol Costello to apologize to the Palin family in the same venue where she mocked audio of Bristol Palin reporting a physical assault: on-air.
Although Costello herself called for an ESPN anchor to be suspended for comments he made about a assault on a woman (after he had apologized on-air), thus far Costello has only issued a short written apology through CNN.

Heads up, Sarah posted on her facebook page about an hour ago her support for the Unity ticket. A nice write up.
I finally saw that segment today....
Costello should be fired....her commentary was so over the top, so malicious, so ugly...
No other resolution is acceptable....
“WP has been doing some things right lately. And this was definitely the right thing to do....”

I don’t think they really have much choice. Before they were, in essence, forced to sell out to Jeff Bevos (the value of the business had plunged to $250 million and was RAPIDLY headed toward zero and below — Bezos was the ONLY buyer and took pity on them) they were hemorrhaging money.
A significant part of the reason for the WaPo losing so much money was that they had largely become mainly agendanistas instead of News People. I think that Bezos is trying to change that and to stem the losses before HE has to abandon it to bankruptcy and closure. He will not go down with THAT ship,
FRiend, they're making fun of them.
The WAPO is an epistle in the liberal bible, the NY Slimes being The Liberal bible.
Let's enjoy the moment.
Have some more popcorn..:-)
CNN’s Carol Costello should have been fired within the first 10 minutes of her mocking Palin. But of course, Palin is pro-America and CNN never has been.
GW Bush believed in that approach.
When the Dems lied about WMD, at Roves insistence he just ignored them, focused on moving forward.
Finally, mired and tied up in all the lies told about him, our soldiers, the weapons, and the war, things ground to a halt, our soldiers dishonored, GWB discredited.
We are fighting a war with the Left, a war of words, and Conservatives have voluntarily disarmed themselves for decades.
The decline of our country shows the folly, and extreme danger of such disarmament.
CNN should fire Carol Costello, immediately!!! End of story!!! Send the hateful witch over to MSNBC!!! She and Al Sharpton are birds of a feather.....low life!!!
Boehner should do a Pelosi and rebuke Costello & CNN on the house floor...it still angers me that Republicans have been silent on this leftwing war on women.
keyboard spew alert
They are trying to stem their loses of viewers.
Americans are not stupid enough to fall for outright hatred and propaganda from the communists.
Good point. If Costello gives an apology on CNN, and no one sees it, is it really an apology?
There, fixed it.
“She works for CNN, does anyone see her anyway?”
You know it’s bad when more people watch Madcow.
Two chances of that personal apology happening - slim, and none. To quote the late, great Chick Hearn, “Last I heard, Slim was packing his bags, and leaving town” :)
What Costello did was truly low rent and trashy.
Bristol is not unlike many young women anymore, conservative or liberal.
This was as bad or worse than the hackers whom hacked into Hollywood actresses nude photos.
The left is about as far from being classy as you can get.
:)This is getting good.
CNN has been getting rid of a lot of people lately. Costello should be at the top of that list.
I’m sure I won’t be seen as sexist when I say Costello is a cupid stunt - and I mean that with all due respect.
Yep its kind of like that if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound..if a phony piece of filth liberal on a network that NO ONE watches spews idiocy, does anyone hear it
