Three southern states succeed and name themselves after a California governor? Life is strange.

He needs to add Texas, at the least.

First War of Independence — we won it.
Second War of Independence — we lost it.
Tie-breaker coming.

I hope he wasn’t thinking Broward and Dade Counties would be part of it, they are New York South.

Floridians bring nothing to the table. It is, however, the only one with substantial fossil fuel assets (oil). Better off dropping it, and heading west.

Interesting to think about.

How many irreconcilable differences are there between most of us and liberals, as far as how government is run, how government is structured, how much power government should have, how capitalism works, how our schools should function, etc. etc.

How many of our political/social debates revolve around liberal/conservative splits on how society and government should be operating???

I have thought a split would be something to consider.

The west coast states could be their own country.

Much of the interior of the country could be a separate conservative country.

And then, take the New England states, down to Virginia, and make that a liberal country.

Split up and be done with it. Sometimes I think that would be a good solution to our endless political debates which never seem to get resolved.

It wouldn’t be necessary if the states were left to themselves as originally conceived; and I mean as under the Constitution, not the Articles of Confederation. The federal government acts as a giant insurer against liberal government at the state level.

Why restrict this to the south? Find out how many other states, north, south, east and west that want go get in on this. Could be a bloodless revolution.

All the Red States need to be included. Shortly after we leave we can demand the immediate and full surrender of Colorado and New Mexico and take them over. Next thing to do is finish the fence along our Southern border and build one between our Mr Lee country and the Blue States.

I honestly love the name Jesusland.

It's supposed to be a leftist put down.

Douglas MacKinnon's vision of the country known as "Reagan" would initially only include South Carolina, Florida and Georgia.

Y'all call it *Dixie* and I'll come visit. You'll need a new flag, however.

So what do you think? Reagan sound like a great place or just a nutty idea?

As defined? A nutty idea. There are a lot more conservative sections of the country than Florida and Georgia.

A cage fight to the death between this “former Reagan aide” and the “former Jimmy Carter aide” who proposed something else stupid yesterday might settle things ...
