#56 – Todd Rundgren: “Hello, It’s Me”This song had been released in 1968 by Nazz, Todd’s first band. The B-side, “Open My Eyes”, had broken at one of the clubs in Somers Point (NJ) when the DJ turned it over, and it became a regional hit in the Northeast. Todd reworked it and got a national hit out of it five years later.
