I this guy asked me for a job I'd turn him down just for wearing a 49ers jersey ;) Now tattoo wearers are jumping on the protected class bandwagon? He has a right to ink himself up, but there are consequences. Fair or not, first impressions are lasting impressions.
I am an employer. If you are tatted up, I am not hiring.
1st amendment, the right to have free speech unimpeded by the government.
Wisdom, knowing when and how to use your free speech.
Idiocy, thinking that the first amendment applies to your future employer.
I would hire him to clean out my septic tank, by hand, naked so that all those swell tattoos could spend time just where they belong. That would cover them up!
What they mean to me is he's an idiot.
He looks like most of my co-workers. No reason he could not work in a factory.
I lived in the South, so long sleeve shirts in the summer were the exception. I was young, but even I thought it kind of strange.
One day, I went over to meet my girl friend and her father was cutting the gas. On one forearm was a tattoo of a naked woman and the other forearm was an American Eagle (complete with an American shield). Without me saying a word, he said, "Hong Kong- 1937."
He tried to get a job in “the medical industry”. What kind of idiot wrote this? Could they be less specific?
And he puts song lyrics on an arm? What song could possibly be so great you’d need the lyrics on your body?
But Winston Churchill & Barry Goldwater didn't see their tattoos as a hindrance.
He looks.....anemic.
What kind of free speech do these tattoos imply...”I’m stupid” maybe?
A tattoo or 2, is no big problem but people who have tattos all over their bodies are sick. Especially if they have neck and face tattos that they can’t hide.
