In the mid 70s I was dating a girl whose father was a navy WWII vet. He worked for IBM and always wore long sleeve shirts, even in the summer.

I lived in the South, so long sleeve shirts in the summer were the exception. I was young, but even I thought it kind of strange.

One day, I went over to meet my girl friend and her father was cutting the gas. On one forearm was a tattoo of a naked woman and the other forearm was an American Eagle (complete with an American shield). Without me saying a word, he said, "Hong Kong- 1937."

Auto-correct or blunt honesty?
