Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont said Thursday that some Americans "never want to have" another black president. You'll find plenty of examples of racial prejudice," Leahy said. "There are those who never want to have another African-American president, and that would be another very, very bad thing for this country." Leahy, who took office in 1975, supports President Barack Obama — who in 2008 became the first black president in the nation's history. But Leahy, according to The Hill, said Obama getting elected to the Oval Office is just the start of a trend that needs to happen. Obama came under fire last month for comments he made at the Congressional Black Caucus dinner. The president told black leaders "most Americans" think the criminal justice system suffers from institutional racism. Obama's comments came on the same night a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. was shot. Ferguson has been the site of massive protests and riots after police there shot and killed an unarmed black teenager in August.

The subtext is that people who oppose Obama are racists. The usual tactic—if they don’t have a convenient example of racism to scare people with, they just make it up. Remember the allegations of the “N-word” being used when Pelosi and her sidekicks walked through a Tea Party crowd.
Leahy may actually be correct.
Nevertheless, I would prefer to think that most Americans don’t want another illegal alien Marxist Muslim terrorist as “president.”
The illegal alien in the white hut has destroyed most of the gains blacks have made in this country since the 1960’s. That’s a sad fact of life for them, and they are too unwilling to believe it. They are probably supporting him at a rate over 75%.
If anyone feels that way then chances are he or she never wanted a black President in the first place.
This more or less applies only to non Black voters, for the most part (outside of ignorant women who believe they are smarter than they actually are), but the damage has been done, and it is distinctly possible that the electorate in general is now predisposed to reject Black candidates due to the horrid example of our current POTUS.

I think it’s not so much that we’d never want another black president as as it’s that we’d never want another Kenyan president, community organizer president, ineffectual liberal president….no matter what color or gender.
