The Kentucky Republican Party is offering volunteers all-expenses-paid trips to join Sen. Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) campaign bus tour and "contribute to an enthusiastic atmosphere" at his events.
In an email sent earlier this month and obtained by The Hill, Taylor Bumgardner, a Kentucky Republican Party regional political director, offers volunteers the opportunity to join McConnell on his tour, which launched Monday. Meals, lodging and transportation are included in the trip.
"Senator McConnell is seeking volunteers to join him on a 3-day campaign bus tour around the state on October 20-22 to show our support for Kentucky coal. You would join local supporters in contributing to an enthusiastic atmosphere at each of his events," she wrote.
Bussing in supporters isn't a new tactic for McConnell, who has done it to fill out crowds during his previous appearances at the annual Fancy Farm picnic. Democrats have derided the move, however, as a sign of low enthusiasm for the Republican....

The media was forced to keep their cameras focused on the "amen" chorus behind the speaker's platform, because there was almost nobody in the audience seats in the gym.
They reported "about 500" people in attendance. If so, roughly 450 of them were in the "amen" chorus and the media. But I repeat myself.
Will I get a t-shirt?
No t-shirt, no deal...
This is a reflection of the huge failure that is our GOP leadership...namely this minority leader.
Maybe he could get the Chamber of Crony Communism to hire some of those illegals in the shadows to feign enthusiasm for him, better still maybe some of the actual members of the CCC could join Mitch on his tour.
He was in my town yesterday, not many in attendance for Team Mitch. When you piss on your base you go begging election time Mitch...
Must be time for lunch. I saw the spelling error, but read “McConnell will pay expenses for euthanasia at events”...
Where is McConnell getting all this money? O yea that’s right hes abusing his power over the senate to ciphen it from other more honorable republicans to win a seat from a people he had betrayed so many times as senate minorty leader for RINOs undercutting us.
