I think this is referred to in legal terms as a conflict-of-interest.

Ebola is a wonderful way to decrease the surplus population, don’t you know?

"We’ve got to find a way to make the world work for everyone"

It's in the last place he would ever look, the bible.

G.K.Chesterton had something to say about that in his commentary on Dickens' A Christmas Carol to the effect that if one starts talking about reducing the surplus population, one should make sure that it doesn't include you.

Mr. Solyndra is a ridiculous pick, but to be fair, he doesn't mention "overpopulation" in the exerpt. He seems more concerned about "climate change" being bad for humanity.

“We’ve got to find a way to make the world work for everyone,” Klain said. “Climate change...

There's no mention of reducing the population to a "sustainable level."

LOL. I think since the overpopulation is an issue for him we already know his approach to Ebola problem. It is kind a lib approach to abortion.

“We’ve got to find a way to make the world work for everyone,” Klain said."

The two fastest growing major economies in the world are India and China. Most of Southeast Asia and most of Latin America are cracking right along. All have problems, but the world, outside of sub-Saharan Africa and the Muslim dead zone in the middle east, has figured out that it doesn't have to be poor. In another 20 years, poverty will be the exception, not the norm, unless the anti-free market, anti-technology, anti-growth left gets its way.

The key point is that the cure for overpopulation is prosperity for a host of now-familiar reasons. Populations from native increase in ALL advanced countries are stabilizing, and aggregate growth is due to immigration. The left wants to grow government to (among other things) ration artificial scarcity. This keeps people poor, and is the best guarantee possible of future population growth.

Smart people across the political spectrum have figured this out, and it is conventional wisdom among the international development set. The only people who pretend not to understand it are the leftists, who seek to grow government to maximize their own power, and for whom population growth is just one more false flag issue of convenience.

WASS - We Are Soooooo Screwed!

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...
