The search for a Pennsylvania state troopers accused killer took on new urgency Saturday after a woman told police she spotted the man in a wooded area with his face caked in mud and carrying a rifle.
State police said the new sighting appears to be highly credible because it took place near the Pocono Mountain East High School where survivalist Eric Frein attended classes. The woman told authorities she saw Frein dressed all in black a little after 9 p.m. Friday and that the distance between them was only 15 or 20 feet.

And why did she have a gun and mud on her face? =)
20 ft would be the range of any decent flashlight and the leaves are pretty crunchy this time of year. And no, black is not camouflage, even at night. Makes me wonder why he wanted to get that close to her, or why he let her get that close to him.
Probably street light. It was near the high school. She was 15 to 20 feet away from him.
Reminds me of the time I shot an elephant in my pajamas... How he got in my pajamas, I'll never know.
Right. The Moon didn't rise until the early hours on Saturday.
I just hope law enforcement catches this guy or better yet, knocks him off. He’s really turned people’s lives upside down in that region. They are fearful and justifiably so.
Doesn’t pass the smell test with me ... just sayin ...
Pennsyltucky hillbillies are the worst!
I think the guy is:
1) long gone
2) ate a bullet himself.
Nobody can stay that penned in for that long and not get caught.
Anymore this story has taken on the character of a story on Bigfoot sightings. Except that Bigfoot sightings aren’t used to justify an illegal state of martial law.
And you would never expect to see a man exiting the woods after dark carrying a rifle during.....deer season. /s
“And you would never expect to see a man exiting the woods after dark carrying a rifle during.....deer season.”
Pennsylvania
All fall small game, turkey, bear and deer hunters during the regular firearm deer season, and special archery deer season hunters during any portion of the archery season that coincides with the general small game or turkey seasons, must wear at least 250 square inches of hunter orange material on the head, chest and back combined.
” took on new urgency Saturday after a woman told police she spotted the man in a wooded area with his face caked in mud and carrying a rifle.”
Hunting season, normal camo and face paint, add one liberal soccer Mom, and 911 is ringing off the hook with hysterical sightings of killers and terrorists.
Doesnt pass the smell test with me ... just sayin
I agree
And no hunter anywhere ever ignored that blaze orange law, right? Also, no need to wear orange after hunting hours have ended.
Many hunters feel it is like hanging a “look at me “ sign out for the game warden to shake them down. Not all, but certainly some.
Also, no need to wear orange after hunting hours have ended.”
If you are a poacher.
