Laz would hit those ladies
A Kurdish women dance, not so terrifying and not for Jihadis ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcKaj3vn4ko
What happens when SHE gets raped? Who's going to defend her or take her side? What happens when she gets knocked up? Will she be smilin' so much then?
She's cruisin' for a bruisin' -- and it doesn't make her RIGHT either.
PREDICTION: she will get killed in action, either by a bomb or by some male enemy who doesn't give a rat's if she's a female or not.
She's be wearing a weapon so she has to expect to be blown to bits or hacked to pieces.
That doesn't make her brave: just a stupid, grade AAA, blue ribbon MORON.
They are not going to heaven regardless how they die. But if worrying about being killed by a female warrior causes them more pain and suffering, so much the better!
The article says there are female fighters in the Kurdish army, of which she is one.
And I suppose you’re right, defending your country from Islamic terror is SO passe these days ...
Those people are just nuts.
She made a choice I hope American women would tmake if they were confronted by men who would force them into sexual slavery. Pick up a rifle and tell the oppressors it’s their move now.
And that doesn't make you savvy about what actually is going on in that part of the world, just ignorant.
Her story is TAILOR-MADE for glorification by Feminists, yet will we hear a SINGLE one of them do so?
No.
That is because Feminists are LEFTISTS FIRST who regard Western Culture, with Islam as the designated Relgion of the Oppressed.
So they won’t let out a peep.
Did homoz attack Iran for hanging homoz?
Here, same-same.
Such a statement makes you look the fool.
And compared to the young woman, a coward.
This is my rifle
That is your gun
Try something stupid
And I'll spoil your fun
Well, who REALLY knows what happened out there. Remember, the media LIE and the middle eastern media LIE EVEN MORE. I know that as my husband and I lived in Saudi Arabia five years when we worked for ARAMCO.
Also, women are no match, physically, for men and WE ALL know that. Rape isn't a pretty thing, but it does happen, even to young women who are armed. The day may come when she is gang-raped.
I pray that it never happens, but she IS putting herself out there, living with and among men, NOT living in a safe, protected home with her family, relatives and friends and trying to be a soldier--for which she, no doubt, has NO TRAINING whatsoever.
The best way to avoid being forced into sexual slavery is to live far away from it in every possible way:
1. Have men in the family who will protect her;
2. have an education or profession that keeps one SAFE and out of prostitution's/pimps' way;
3. keep FAR, FAR, FAR, FAR away from drugs;
4. live in a part of the town where prostitution ISN'T;
5. stay close to God and family;
6. have a couple of dogs (Dobermans, Shepherds, Rottweilers) keep her company all the time. They WOULD die protecting her. They would give her time to get her handy little loaded Baretta out of her purse.
No man would have DARED try to force me into that kind of business. My father would have ripped him into tiny pieces with his bare hands.
I agree with you. Also, I must say, Kurdish women in particular have a very long history of fighting alongside men, when it is necessary. This is nothing new. Do I like it? Of course not. But these things happen, have happened, and often a necessity, not a whim or ‘nice thing to do’.
Your list works okay in most of the U.S. I don’t think it applies to much of the rest of the world.
This woman (and those like her) deserve our prayers and respect.
All good suggestions, but these women don’t live in the protective circumstances you suggest. They are currently in the middle of a war. If their side loses, their men will be decapitated. Then what?
Two more points to add: 1) I don’t care at all for the headline and the article, because it is written from a Western viewpoint and doesn’t put things in context. 2) I know for sure, most of these women fighters if they had to go and not be captured, and if had the means, they’ll take a few of those animal ISIS jihadis in the process with them. My heartfelt sorrow for these women and the Kurds in general.
My husband and I lived in Saudi Arabia five years. I KNOW the middle east.
Have YOU lived there? Do YOU know what it's like living over there? Do you know how women live there? My husband and I also traveled extensively over there (Egypt [twice], Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, the Emirates, etc.) as well.
If you DID know the life over there, you wouldn't be labeling ME the one who looks like a fool. And you wouldn't be labeling me a coward.
The FOOLS are the people who sit on their fat asses over here and PRETEND like they know what they're talking about when it comes to the middle east.
Being STUPID isn't "brave." Sometimes it takes BRAVERY to admit that it's time to "get outta Dodge" (speaking of the middle east).
COWARDICE involves being afraid to admit that you don't have all the answers and THINKING that you know all about a place you've NEVER been to and/or NEVER lived in.
Also, you are swallowing this Internet story like it's the Gospel, true in every word. You have no CLUE as to the validity of ANY of this. You believe it because you want to believe it, NOT really knowing the who, what, when, where and why of this entire story.
WHERE are this young woman's family? Her relatives? Her BROTHERS? NO WOMEN in the middle east are abandoned like that! None, zero, unless they RUN AWAY. Then, they are, unfortunately at the mercy of the world.
Maybe you believe it because it involves a fairly attractive young woman. Who knows; who cares? But, go ahead, BLEED for her. It's what you want to do, without knowing FACT #ONE about her or her story.
