....by voting them into majority and then pressuring them into serving the people the way they should.

Yeah; o.k. Good luck with that! During the Bush years, at one time, we had the WH and both the Senate and the House. We still had same-sex marriage, abortion, out-of-control spending........ Anyhow, my prediction as to what the Senate will look like come January 2015: 53 GOP / 47 'RAT And, I'm sure the entire FReeper family agrees with my prediction. (/sarc) But, seriously, that's my prediction.

These are my issues that are non-negotiable. I will support no candidate who does not measure up to these.

1. Pro-God (pro-free exercise of religion)

2. Pro-life

3. Pro-natural family/marriage/sexuality

4. Pro-gun

5. Pro-national security (defense, borders, coasts, ports, airports, visas)

The GOPe could’ve fought to defund or overturn Obamacare yet they did not. They didn’t even support Ted Cruz as he tried. This would’nt have been difficult for them because the American people wanted it overturned or at least defunded. Yet they closed ranks with the RATS and did nothing (except attack Ted Cruz).

most Republicans act like RINOs which in turn act like RATs. So IMO they are nothing more than RATS.

I don’t think they are RINOs. I know they are RINOs. No thanks.

I say hold your nose and vote for a RINO over a liberal Democrat but save your campaign contributions and personal passion for true conservatives. The difference may be a matter of life or death. The perfect example is Rudy Guiliani vrs Dangerous David Dinkins.

I wonder how many 'Christians' enable abortion and the sodomite agenda by voting RINO? In the eternal scheme of things, is political power so important that you would put your relationship with your heavenly Father at risk?

Not me.

To not vote for the better choice because it is not perfect is a tantrum, an emotional cleansing for its proponents to make them finally feel they are the holy ones. Its like George Washingtons men complaining they will not fight the evil of the British, because everything wasn’t right with the Congress not doing everything Washington needed at the time. Good thing these folks were not Washington

Rush L has been apoplectic for the last few days, since news came out that Rove ‘sat’ on information about Iraqi WMDs and various political attacks on GWBuh for 5 years.

==

Those like Rove — and that includes all former politicians who end up settling in the DC area after they leave/lose office — are there for THEIR own interests. They suckle on the teats of Big Government because they know how to get money from the Big Government THEY helped make bigger.

It has been revealed in the last 3 election cycles that several incumbent politicians don’t even have residences in the states from which they were elected.

But, conservatives, especially, have been falling for the same lines for decades:

[That didn’t even work for the idol of conservatism, Ronald Reagan. He was manipulated into selecting GHWBush as his VP, and we haven’t been able to get the Bush elites out of Washington politics since. George P is already warming up in Texas for the next decade.]

Conservatives need to bite the bullet and realize the GOP has not been a party for conservatism since Goldwater. Every current GOP elite leader has trashed conservatives. Sadly, conservatives suffer from battered-wife syndrome and keep returning ‘home’ to the GOP.

Both parties are steering us toward destruction, one is just driving a little faster than the other. There is a war ahead, and I’d like to fight that war with my children watching. I don’t want my children to fight the war. Let’s rip off this bandaid and get going. No RINOs.

What is going on? I haven’t read all the posts to this thread but the ideologues who believe we must destroy the country in order to save it seem to be missing.

There is valid reason to criticize those who want the GOP to be so much of a "big tent" that it has no issues on which it differs with the Democrats.

But we have a number of folks here who think it's best that they spend all day kicking people out of the tent.....kick!! kick!! kick!!....until lo and behold, there are only two of them left and they start eyeing each other suspiciously.

No wonder this site does not have anything like the political clout it used to.

I’m voting for a select few conservatives.

Any candidate that shows even a slight wobbliness on amnesty or fag-marriage will never get my vote under any circumstances. I have nothing but utter hate and contempt for such candidates. These are people that have surrendered and joined with the traitorous Dems in turning America into the putrid sewer that it currently is. Vote for them? I want to personally throttle them.
