Congressman Peter King (R-NY) is outraged after Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials dismissed Ebola after a "cursory" exam of an African man, who died on a plane to JFK Airport Thursday in a fit of vomiting.
The unnamed 63-year-old had boarded an Arik Air plane out of Lagos, Nigeria the night before, a federal law enforcement source told the New York Post. While in the air, the man vomited in his seat repeatedly, and before landing in New York he died on the plane.
The 145 frightened passengers were kept on board as CDC officials and police entered the plane at around 6 a.m. when it landed, but after a very brief examination that apparently did not include a blood test with lab results, they claimed the man had not died from the lethal virus.

We are being attacked by outsiders who are being allowed in by insiders. If you think this in not deliberate
ALL FLIGHTS OUT OF AFRICAN HOT ZONES NEED TO BE STOPPED.
The problem is that having advanced Ebola and having a heart condition are not mutually exclusive - always a possibility that his system was compromised so even early stages caused his untimely demise. If it crosses my non-medical mind and is never considered by the "experts" we are in a world of it if it catches a real foothold.
The guy had a heart attack.
Vomiting during that is very common.
People puke on trains and planes ALL of the time. It’s called motion sickness. Toss in the occasional norovirus....and you have a noxious mix. Happens every day.
UK Daily Mail reports that the man was actually an US citizen!
Benito Cuomo is visiting Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic because New Yorkers have a special relationship with them. He visited Israel in August. No mention of him visiting Detroit or Ferguson yet.
Cuomo has told New Yorkers not to worry, says New York is ready if Ebola arrives. If the test is not performed, you are Mis-informed .....NOT TO WORRY.
No one will impeach the Kenyan. He could eat a live human baby on the White House steps and his subjects would say the baby had it coming.
If it were an Air Bus ....
would Dr. Friedan’s and President Obama’s assertion that you can’t catch Ebola sitting beside someone on a ‘bus’ apply?
[/s]
13% don’t get a fever, either.
Dr. Gregory House - “Everyone lies.”
Yes, because sooner or later it will be Ebola. If you have noticed, a lot of government operatives are making snarky remarks about people being afraid of catching Ebola TODAY. That is a lying remark because everyone if fearful of a pandemic in the near future and they want it stopped TODAY.
“Were American media told to shove it under the rug?”
Is the Pope from Cental America?
Speaking as someone familiar with airlines and airplanes, vomiting is a common occurrence and there are more deaths on airplanes than reported. It happens. Not a biggie. If the man was bleeding we’d have a problem.
The ‘bleeding out of every orifice’ is more like Marburg... (or tax time).
Hell I’m jumping back when someone couches, sneezes or is even just sniffly.
From your article:
The body was handed over to Port Authority police to dispose of after the “cursory” exam.
From this article:
“Following his death, the U.S. citizen’s body was handed over to the Port Authority who removed it from the plane, with the CDC allegedly providing little information on how to deal with the remains.”
Had no one considered that US citizen could have died of heart attack AND also have ebola? Autopsy?
No release of man’s name?
US citizen-—no mention of notification of next of kin???
If we had a little more to go on we possibly could find a obit.
...
Slim possibility ...

He was vomiting in his seat and died sometime before the plane landed around 6 a.m., the source said. The crew contacted the CDC, whose officials boarded the plane as about 145 worried passengers remained on board, a federal law enforcement source said.
The door [to the terminal] was left open, which a lot of the first responders found alarming, said the source.
The CDC went on the plane, examined the dead body and said the person did not have Ebola, King told The Post.

Dallas hospital that treated three Ebola patients had machine that can detect disease in just minutes ...but couldn’t use it because it wasn’t FDA approved
BioFire Diagnostics, a Utah-based firm that produces disease detection technology, confirmed that the Dallas Presbyterian Hospital did in fact have one of the machines (possibly for as long as two years) sitting on the shelf when Duncan came in.
But unless hospitals agree to use the machine specifically for research purposes, rather than actually diagnosing patients with Ebola, they cant look for Ebola in samples.
The FDA rules in what are called research use only machines are far more lax than for machines that must provide clinical diagnosis. According to representatives from BioFire, even after the FDA approved the use of the machine for Ebola screening and allowed workers at the hospital to acquire the proper kit for Ebola testing, a 10-20 day validation procedure would kick in before they could change the machines use from diagnostics to research and the results would have to go to the Centers for Disease Control for confirmation.
Yep.
