AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and hes not retiring until every American agrees with him - do NOT doubt him - with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (thats Rush, for those in Rio Linda), the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! Americas anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A real man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do host. Get ready to what you were born to do listen. And post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread.

I first listened to Rush when my dad told me about a new talk show back in 1988 or ‘89. I listened since.

"Dick Cheney"
I find that hard to believe. True..Dick, was well-spoken and didn't
filch in answering any questions, which gave him credibility.

Tony was a FReeper and had his own live talkshow thread here. I remember debating him whether we should have a border fence and he posted to me "it would make us look weak". Yeah he was a moderate on many things but I wonder how he would feel now if he was still alive.

From an Internet source of years ago. "Sixty-nine percent in a Washington Post poll published Saturday said they believe it is likely the Iraqi leader was personally involved in the attacks carried out by al-Qaeda. A majority of Democrats, Republicans and independents believe it's likely Saddam was involved."
The article pointed out that "there has been no proof of a link between the two."
The article claimed that "President Bush and members of his administration suggested a link between the two in the months before the war in Iraq. Claims of possible links have never been proven, however."
Bush suggested "possible link before the war in Iraq."
The article did report that recently "some members of the administration [say] they don't believe there is a direct link."
A direct link was never declared by Bush.
Yet the public continued to believe that there was a link driving the Dems nuts.
I cannot find the article but I recall that Ted Kennedy declared that Bush was a liar simply because he did not do enough to make the public understand that he [Bush] does not believe that there was a link.

You know how a DVR has a 30 second skip button so you can skip through commercials? It’s 4 skips during an NFL game, 6 skips during FOX News Special Report. Someone needs to invent a 30 second mute button for listening to live radio so you can hit it during the D-I-N-O-V-I-T-E and K-A-R-S commercials.
Ad Guy you should get on that!

Yep. I know I believed it. I believed they were invloved with the terrorists. I also believe the WMD's or some at least were moved also. I found that picture somewhere along the way during the war. Bush never pushed it. Somehow Powell believed it at a time too.
We all know Ted's credibility went down the tubes with Mary Jo K, though much of the left worshiped his sorry rear end just because he was a Kennedy.

Well I hope Tony would have wised up and admitted his error.
But do-gooder liberals rarely give up the habit of letting sloppy sentimentality rule their judgement even when they imagine themselves to be ‘conservative’.

“You do realize that Rush Limbaugh was also very much in the Bush-GOPe camp. dont you?”
That’s hardly news to me. When grassroots California was organizing Prop 187 back in the early 90s Rush was nowhere to be found. He wouldn’t even take phone calls on illegal immigration.
It’s only very recently that Rush has been sounding more like a conservative than a GOP waterboy. I’m glad when he does but I have no illusions about what he used to do.
