$39,643,352 Worth of NIH Funding That Could Have Gone to the Ebola Vaccine

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has spent more than $39 million on obese lesbians, origami condoms, texting drunks, and dozens of other projects that could have been scrapped in favor of developing an Ebola vaccine.

“Frankly, if we had not gone through our 10-year slide in research support, we probably would have had a vaccine in time for this that would’ve gone through clinical trials and would have been ready,” said NIH Director Francis Collins, blaming budget cuts for his agency’s failure to develop a vaccine for the deadly virus.

However, the Washington Free Beacon has uncovered $39,643,352 worth of NIH studies within the past several years that have gone to questionable research.

For instance, the agency has spent $2,873,440 trying to figure out why lesbians are obese, and $466,642 on why fat girls have a tough time getting dates. Another $2,075,611 was spent encouraging old people to join choirs.

On Tuesday, Health and Human Services (HHS) had to outsource efforts at an Ebola vaccine to the Baltimore-based Profectus BioSciences Inc. The company will receive $8.6 million to research and test their vaccine, a fraction of NIH funding that went to the above projects.

To save money, the CDC or NIH could have questioned Janet Napolitano, Rosie O’Donnell and some members of Code Pink about the dates and obesity questions. Would have cost about $10 in phone calls.

Also notice that NIH said that the budget slip took place during the past 10 years. 2014 minus 10 = 2004.
That is BUSH 2005-2009 budget years and Obama years 2010-2015 (depending on when the yearly budget was actually passed and signed).

Evenly split but there was no major health threat during the BUSH years. THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE, PLUS EARLIER PLANS EXISTED SINCE THE 1990’S TO DEAL WITH MAJOR HEALTH CRISES.

Republicans / conservatives will not have a secure future until they learn that they need to respond to lies with the loudest bullhorn shouting the truth that they can muster. Those like Rove — and that includes all former politicians who end up settling in the DC area after they leave/lose office — are there for THEIR own interests. They suckle on the teats of Big Government because they know how to get money from the Big Government THEY helped make bigger.

It has been revealed in the last 3 election cycles that several incumbent politicians don’t even have residences in the states from which they were elected.

But, conservatives, especially, have been falling for the same lines for decades:

You can’t jump ship to a new party or the Dems win.

You have to work within the bowels of the Republican party to reform it.
