Racing along cracked and bumpy roads here, Gordon Kamara shouted into his cellphone over the shrieking sirens of his ambulance. The phone had been ringing nonstop since 5 a.m.
Not today! Not today! Mr. Kamara, an ambulance nurse, yelled later in the day. We are on the opposite side of town!
The calls have all been the same in recent weeks: from friends, friends of friends, extended family, complete strangers. All of them have loved ones sick with Ebola and beg him to come quickly. Seven days a week, Mr. Kamara and his crew span Monrovia, Liberias capital, in a donated, old American ambulance with California license plates still attached.
It never stops, said Mr. Kamara, getting another call the moment he hangs up.
The 15 or so ambulance teams bolting around the city have had many days of hard choices like this. Hundreds of new Ebola cases are reported each week in Monrovia, with many more never accounted for. And over the course of the epidemic, only a small percentage of them have ever made it to a hospital.

(1) What Obama and Reggie Love do weekly
I agree with you. We can help safely but protocol has to be strictly followed. Infected and possibly infected must be quarantined. No visas from affected countries. The troops building hospitals must be segregated by armed guards from the general population. Devon should be radical. Lots of burning, lots of bleach and alcohol. And those disembarking from deployment must be sent to holding areas for a month and pass testing before returning to the US gen pop. Those testing positive and American should be shipped home in hazmat outfitted planes. Obama and his merry band of community organizers are too stupid and ideological to make that all happen though.
This country has been given aid since ‘57.....the usual corruption and theft amongst rag tag uneducated, fiscal theft while undermining your fellow countrymen is nothing new in this continent. The guy Taylor screwed them even more...we are not the worlds savior as we have many items to address in our own borders or what is left of them...
We need Morgan!!!! He has to CLEAR!!!!!!!!
“I was standing on a street corner and wondered what the horrible smell hat was assailing my senses was. I looked down as a big chunk of human waste floated by. I realized that the folks in the villages had it better than those in town.”
That applies to even the US.
That’s curious. They must be starving but that is Africa. Got a link for that story?
The official statistics don’t include those who have died outside hospitals or care centers. We learned there are many people who are turned away because beds are full and the family takes the sick one back home to die.
I heard a radio report on Tru News interviewing a Western care taker over there via the UN. She said people put the bodies out of the house to be buried. They don’t want to be quarantined so they put the body far away from the family and normal burial routines are overwhelmed and not operating anymore.
Sending CB’s to build Quonset huts won’t help ,, the ramp up in numbers will be overwhelming... there simply won’t be enough med workers to care for the infected... and even if we build 10,000 beds they’ll need 500,000 by the time those are built...
They need bleach , kerosene , gatorade and bulldozers ...
They also need trucks to cruise around and dispose of bodies ASAP..
To save the families and “close contacts” they need to be handed 45 days of food and water and locked down in their houses... if anyone shows symptoms prior to the end of the 45 day period you move them out and reset the wait period back to day #1 ... when they’re locked down you post a guard with shoot to kill orders.. no exceptions ...
That strategy WILL save lives.
>>> The dogs and the vultures wont eat infected flesh. Their instincts tell them not to.
Not so, from what I’ve read. August headlines had dogs eating infected bodies. Worse still, dogs are carriers of the disease, but don’t suffer symptoms. Thus, exterminating the canine population may be a real possibility to be considered, if it turns out that dog saliva can infect humans (as yet unknown).
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
>>> Putting US aside for a minute
Why put the US aside. As of now, the Texas Liberian has already infected 2 people, making our Ro = 2, which is worse than Spain (Ro=1), and on par with Sierra Leone. Unless we can figure out how to avoid the reinfections, it doesn’t take too many 3-week doublings to become an unstoppable problem in the US.
Hopefully NOT coming to Dallas and Cleveland.
We need some embedded reporters there.
Of course. He wants them to get infected, so he can fly them home to their families and colleagues.
After Nov. 4th, will there suddenly be Repubs who will speak the truth, that we have a Marxist Muslim terrorist in the White House? Don’t bet on it.
This time, the Marxist Muslims have waited until the ENTIRE political class is too corrupt to offer any resistance.
Is there ANY evidence that Cruz, Walker, or any Republican knows the truth or has the courage to speak it? Namely, that Marxist Muslim terrorists have taken over the Democrat party and the U.S. Government, and have installed an illegal alien Marxist Muslim terrorist in the White House.
Well played.
That’s what democrats are going to be pushing for us... do you want to spread their meme?

I found a picture of Seabees already on the ground in Liberia. I’m thinking they were Engineering Aids (surveyors).
This is Obola’s wet dream for America.
