The place we stayed this year had the same rule. What they don’t want is for folks to go around shooting off fireworks or each other.

November 15th is way too soon for me to make a trip that far. Our business is in the 'home stretch' leading up to the holidays when our phone stops ringing til mid January. As they say, we gotta make hay while the sun's still up.
We are planning to have an informal North Texas Turkey Shoot in about two weeks just for fun. I'll freepmail all the usual suspects tonight.

I'll bet. I'd love to take off for a South Texas recon trip right now while the weather's so nice. Not in the cards, I'm afraid. There'll be all kinds of time for me to do that when work slows down over the winter, but we'll be stretching pennies :-o

I love that idea above. First in line! I just read the contest rules for being a Tester for Bacon Candy. Windflier, am sorry they have given you a key and a parking spot and am glad I withdrew. I think Hap gave you a key and parking spot to draw you into the contest. BaconMan said Hap has not been defeated since '94. That's twenty years and Hap guards her position of Tester for Bacon Candy, jealously. All I want to do is witness the contest between you and Hap for the Tester position. That would be a highlight of the next 'Shoot'.

But I forgot when the shoot was. :(
