Hopewell, New Jersey - NBC's Chief Medical Correspondent, Dr. Nancy Snyderman, violated her voluntary quarantine when she left her home to go get a sandwich at the Pleasant Grill in Hopewell, New Jersey.
Dr. Snyderman was in Liberia when her cameraman contracted Ebola, which is why her and her team are under quarantine.
Dr. Snyderman issued an apology, but some people are saying she dodged responsibility for her actions and she threw her crew members under the bus.
While under voluntary quarantine guidelines, which called for our team to avoid public contact for 21 days, members of our group violated those guidelines and understand that our quarantine is now mandatory until 21 days have passed, Dr. Snyderman's apology read.
Some community members are fuming over her carelessness about this matter.
It's just so narcissistic and egotistical to put your own little wants, and it's not even something necessary, it's her desire for a sandwich over public health, from someone who has actually been in Liberia and has seen what this disease can do, Hopewell resident Rosemary Farr said.
Others in the community aren't to bothered by her actions, the restaurant owners next to the Pleasant Grill are just happy she didn't come to their place of business.
Well she don't come here, so we have no contact with her, so I'm comfortable, the restaurant owner said....

How about just mandatory quarantine these people. If a few cases go undetected they could spread it to another 10-100 people, say 20% of those don’t go to a hospital. It will spread exponentially.
Look at the time/death graphs in west africa, and apply that to NA.
“I’m Sorry” doesn’t cut it when we’re dealing with a deadly disease!
We need to start putting these people on Rhode Island.
Thanks Nancy.
NBC hasn’t fired her stupid ass yet? What a frikkin’ joke they are.
Like Rhode Island doesn’t have enough liberal hell to deal with already.
Let’s go a little further than Rhode Islamd. How about Tenerife in the Canary islands?
CC
What good does that do anybody?
Rules are for little people.
How about sticking their asses on Atlantis, wherever it is today, at the bottom of the sea maybe?
That’s exactly why this little side story has legs.
Dr. Nancy asks a friend; Can someone have a ‘blonde moment’ when they’re not really blonde. and never have been?
What a cunning stunt that was.
Poor thing...she was just hungry.../s
Doctor’s apology: “I’m sorry I infected you. Now, go away and die!”
