Many people believe pie in the sky lies that can never come true to reality.

Eight years of Reagan and yet the voters are easily fooled to returning to liberalism.

Because there will always be emotionalism: envy, pity, and white guilt. There will always be those who believe that altruism is a primary virtue, and that people must be forced to sacrifice their values. There will always be lazy, incompetent individuals who cannot survive without being a parasite, and who want the undeserved, the unearned, and something for nothing. There will always be those who are be collectivists who believe that putting society above the individual is the another primary virtue. There will always be those with low self esteem who don't mind being forced to sacrifice their values.

“It was made up of ten agenda points that they intended to do, and they were substantive - balance the budget, reduce the deficit, reduce spending, all those things — and they set out to do them. But it wasn’t many years later that voters went right back to voting Democrat. They embraced Bill Clinton all over again and I was left scratching my head. I was asking how is it that these voters forget? “

Everything was going pretty well. No war, decent economy. One side held the other in check. Clintoon couldn’t push any radical liberalism. Slick also didn’t give the impression that he was out to get Americans like this radical nut in the WH does on a daily basis.

They simply weren’t looking to support anyone’s ideology 100%, especially when stuff was just humming right along.

I agree with all Rush said and it was good to see him on a roll again.

Smart as Rush is, I’m afraid he is over-thinking things.

The problem is not just with the “American people and the electorate”, it’s with human beings. The fact of the matter is most people everywhere are political followers, always have been and always will be. Additionally, most people everywhere are politically ignorant, again, always have been and always will be. That doesn’t mean stupid, it means politically uninterested, naive and easily demagogued.

The very concept of understanding the “American people and the electorate” is impossible because it is ever changing - rapidly at some points in history.

Democracy of all kinds are messy systems, but still generally better than anything else. Unfortunately democracies, like other systems of governance, don’t last forever. Nothing lasts forever. Perhaps the best we can hope for is as our system eventually implodes, a very charismatic conservative leader or set of leaders (founding father types) are able to captivate the imagination of the masses, perhaps run a benevolent dictatorship for a short time to rewrite the constitution in such a way that federal socialism and judiciary power grabs are made impossible, and then return as quickly as possible back to being a democratic republic. Unfortunately, you never know who or what will motivate the masses - it is just as likely a majority of Americans will fall for the shtick of some radical leftists if/when the economy falls to ruins.

Never forget the “American people and the electorate” voted for FDR four times. FDR was a true socialist, just read his Second Bill of Rights for confirmation of what he really believed.

For now we hold on to what we can, cast ballots against the worst politicians (which will almost always be the Democrat), and push very hard through the primary system to make the GOP, the only other viable party, more conservative. At the same time we must identify skilled, charismatic conservative politicians who actually stand for something and wait for our chance. Times change. As events unfold the best you can do is put your best guys/gals forward and hope to be at the right place at the right time, catch a big wave of public excitement and reshape the landscape with a big push towards conservatism.

For a more reliably lasting democratic republic, my feeling is we need to move away from the concept of universal suffrage. At minimum, if one is living off government handouts they should not be able to vote themselves some more goodies. This concept alone, which would be hugely unpopular at this particular moment in time, might one day be accepted by enough productive people with the means to make it part of any constitutional changes going forward.

I pray every day for a Revival. A turning back to God, a return to the Constitution and the vanquishing of the disease that is the demRINO agenda.

Until every patriot stands too, and every militia unit is called up and the Black Robes stand up behind their pulpits once again! We will not have freedom!

When the Catholics get more persecuted, they will renew their faith and others will witness that and renew theirs. Change will then come.

Until now, the slugs eat and vote for more food and care. Just give me mine, there is no such thing as love meaning suffering.

Conservatives are the date you take home to Mom and raise a family with.

Liberals are the date you party with and ....

Conservatives, “work hard, work smart, you’ll be successful”

Liberals, “PARTY! that guy is buying the drinks!” Then comes the hangover and you go to a conservative for solace but you never forget the PARTY!!!!

I truly hope that people are waking up to the incompetence of the Government. And Conservatives need to seize the moment and advocate shrinking the stupidity.

Otherwise, our nation may be ready to go through another revolution.

I have no faith in our political elites, our media elites, and academia. The military is the most functional of our elites, but even it has been somewhat corrupted by toadies ingratiating themselves to the powerful and the dictates of political correctness. Our business elites prefer to ingratiate themselves to Big Government in order to use it to their advantage rather than practice real free-market economics. Even a large part of the Christian clergy is now clueless.

After listening to the head of the CDC on Rush's radio show today, it is apparent that our medical elites are also losing their minds.

Rush can say that it is a protest vote, but lets look at this like people look at sports. There are die hard team fans, there are individual player fans, there are fans that get on the band wagon when the team is winning. there are people who only watch the bowl games, etc. The presidential election is the super bowl of elections. Two teams. I think I’m right. Any social psychologists out there who can back me up?

Rush is getting warmer. Notice he never used the word EVIL. Even a famous psychiatrist concluded. That we are going to have to reintroduce the concept of Sin.
