In an appearance Tuesday night on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report,” Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Neil Young told host Stephen Colbert that President Barack Obama should be impeached for allowing fracking.
“Last time you were here, you tried getting me to sing a song about impeaching the president who at the time was George W. Bush,” Colbert told the rock legend. “And you wanted to impeach him over getting us into the war in Iraq.
“Now that President Obama is getting us into a war in Iraq, are you up for impeaching him too?” asked Colbert in his character as a conservative talk show host.
“No,” responded Young.
“Then you’re a double hypocrite?” asked Colbert.
“I think we should impeach him for fracking,” said Young, donning a shirt that simply read “EARTH.”
Is it not illegal?” asked the host
“It’s not in the interest of the American people,” said Young, a Canadian. “I am a part of the free world.”

Young is a great talent but please, less PC yammering and more Crazy Horse.

I’ve yet to see the talent. It’s a bunch of nasal twang to me.
LOL! Neil Young is an aging Rock Star from Canada without a clue. He lives in a make-believe world funded by the millions he has made. He could burn cash for fuel and hire a couple folks to push his car here and there. He is rich enough to be extremely LIBERAL. No different than most of Hollywood and the entertainment world.
I am afraid NY’s aneurism has affected his mind more than he is letting on.
He’s always been kind of goofy.
And to paraphrase Young himself, he’s getting old.
I remember back in the early 80’s when he supported Reagan and put down Jimmy Carter.
Not too long after that David Geffen sued him for making what Geffen claimed were non-commercial or non-representative records.
Remember when Young also made the Let’s Roll song shortly after 911 and gave it away free.
