Posted on 10/14/2014 12:04:02 PM PDT by TigerClaws
Friend in the military says they are about to go on "CODE RED."
He's in the reserves. About to be called up. Anyone else hearing this?
Ebola?

Purple Alert? Not as bad as a red alert but a bit worse than a blue alert. Maybe more of a mauve alert - Holly of Red Dwarf.

The modern military is moving towards a fabulous rainbow code. Not really funny, but I just have to

Now I am confused. What is the military supposed to do about Ebola? Isn’t that a problem for trained medical personnel?

Sounds like soldiers talk to me. Been in 27 years and never referred to it as “code red.” Now if he said they’d been given a PTDO...then maybe. Code red? Sounds like something an E-1 or Hollywood actor would say. I sure haven’t heard anything about it...and chances are high I would have.

Please stop the confirming or denying. It's all intel for the bad guys.
People who wish us harm can read this thread and put 2 and 2 together.
So far they know that today, nothing has yet happened to cause a change in alert status.
While some might think it not that important, it is a small piece to a bigger puzzle.
Once again, don't ask these types of questions and for those in the military, you should all know better than to respond one way or the other.
The jokes however, are always appreciated.

In my 32 years of military service, I am familiar with the term “DEFCON”(Defense Condition) 1 - 4. Not “Code Red”, must be something new from “Obamaspeak”. Just my opinion...
