Theres no good time to tell a guy youre a virgin. First date? Too much, too soon. Wait until the third date and you risk being considered a tease. Second date? Perhaps, but at this point youre both still fretting over whether or not to eat another piece of bread; delving into sexual histories (or lack thereof) seems a bit extreme. So: Theres no good time to tell a guy youre a virgin. Even worse? Telling him youre waiting until marriage.

Having a nose ring is indicative of what sort of crime???
Is it because it might be assumed she is of a lesser moral quality, or does her credibility go down as many notches because a nose ring makes her story less believable???
I’m not really busting yer chops, I think this is an interesting observation you have, one deserving of a little clarification...
You are certainly not alone in your last statement though...There are very likely, a lot of people that feel the same way you do...
And here I thought people were more intelligent and not all about “feelings.”
And again we wonder why we’re considered non-inclusive.LOL
Keeping it private would be respectful.
This young lady, regardless of the venue she related this (her) story to, should be applauded, and emulated, encouraged to tell her story to ALL
and we can tell her to keep her privates private too.
Hell she’s better off as an old maid than hooking up with men like some on this thread, lol.
I cannot disagree with that.
And here is where so called conservatives eat each other. Nice.
More like that’s what insanity does to both your brains.
I see you trying to make a point that tattoos and nose rings are equivalent to abortion and homosexuality. I also see you as being insane!
Of course you would.
LOL!
You are so better than this.
I've been out of the "dating scene" for nearly 30 years, but I'm hearing/reading plenty of anecdotal evidence that single women focus on sexual compatibility first before engaging in a longer-term relationship. That sounds ass backwards to me, but what do I know?
For me, the summer of '79 was one of the best summers of my life, professionally and personally. I was TDY in Northern Germany at a German base. Five miles off post was a tourist town, and we were the only Americans for 200 miles. I've never been in a place where there was such a high density of newly divorced women.
I was 25 YO, just made 1LT over 3 years, and was the XO of our detachment. I was usually left in charge, as the CO had personal issues to deal with 400 miles away.
Many memorable experiences, to include meeting Jay Garner when he was a Battalion Commander. During my last two years in Germany, I went back several times to hang out with the friends I made. I thought it was pretty cool, being the lone American during those visits.
I would say that circumcision would be defacing the temple...Right???
From a certain perspective...
Nose rings, tattoos etc etc etc, seem to not be so much a sin, but more of a distraction, and distractions are things that God doesn’t want for us...
So it is kind of a toss up...Do we differ to his teachings, or do we judge others on outward appearances, and therefore be judged ourselves??? Which is obviously an outcome anyway...
To me this entire thread is one of the best discussions this year, on this website...
It is very eclectic, yet revealing to all participants to their level of comforts, and their prejudices...
Then it goes well with your posts on this thread which are the same and moot.
OMG I’m not going to read the rest of the thread. Bunch of nutcases.
You’ve had a wonderful life. I have too. I’ve been out of the dating scene for about 30 yrs too. My 25th Anniversary is later this month. I also have 4 kids now in the dating scene so there’s that.
It has changed. I don’t like it but it is what it is now.
Sad to say, your assessment of the modern dating world is spot on. It seems that, to the vast majority of single people today, “dating” literally means “sleeping around.”
However, that type of thinking doesn’t just affect young women. Young men who want to wait for marriage also are pressured... not just by other men but also by women. God forbid a man turns a woman down. I’ve heard other women accuse men of being gay if they turn them down.
And the disrespect men and women have for each other isn’t limited to young people. It seems to extend to men and women of all ages dating today.
Anyway, I just wanted to back up what you were saying and agree with your post, as much as I wish it weren’t so true.
Did I say anything about a crime ? My personal preference for the female persuasion is that they don’t have odd piercings (specifically, nasal, but I don’t mind naval) and I have a visceral dislike of tattoos because it’s like defacing a work of art (the female form)... actually, the latter part is criminal to me. :-(
Twink, I think you have some comprehension problems.
I said nothing about nose rings.
