Prominent activist Cornel West has been handcuffed during demonstrations in Ferguson, Missouri, according to Fusion and reporters on Twitter.
West was also seen at protests Sunday night.
Los Angeles Times reporter Matt Pearce wrote on Twitter that West was joined by clergy in a march to the Ferguson police station on Monday.
The demonstration, Pearce wrote, was "highly coordinated" with "organizers clearing paths, sending clergy in waves … willing to get arrested."
Protesters planned a "day of action" Monday, demanding the arrest of the police officer who shot unarmed black teenager Michael Brown.
West was reportedly handcuffed Monday afternoon and is presumed arrested:

The reason they keep getting riled up in cases where a thug gets shot rather than a law abiding black man gets shot is simple. When the guy is law abiding black man shot by a “bad” cop, the law does it’s job, as in the case of the black guy going into his car for his wallet and being shot by the police officer.
Nothing to protest there. The cop’s in big trouble.
