We're still having good weather here, although it has cooled off - more like Autumn, finally.
The reason I've been absent so much the last few days is that we've been locked in combat assembling my son Daniel's Captain's Bed. It has been absolute hell - the directions were useless - one page with pictures and type so small that I couldn't make them out even with a magnifying glass. Also, I've been beating myself up physically lifting things, bending down and standing much longer than I should.
We finally finished this afternoon - my thighs are like jelly and my back is out.

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

I hate when directions are useless. I don’t know why they even bother printing such small type. I hope you write a disparaging letter to the maker. Maybe they will read it and do better in the future.
