BREAKING: FReeper Onona's wife on NJ flight from Brussels with Vomiting Passenger removed by CDC
Got the wife home now. As you may have assumed, the situation was a true cluster eff.Plane full of Liberians, many unaccompanied minors. Basically, they are fleeing their country to get here, sick OR well.
She was sitting about 6 rows in front of the guy, and the smell was quite evident from the sick.
CDC; Customs; they had NO PLAN.
Customs just kept telling everyone that directions were coming directly from the White House (now don't that make you all warm and fuzzy ?)
People had already gotten through customs when the started a panic announcement to all Customs agents NOT to process anyone from this flight.
The patient is still not cleared as free from Ebola.
They took names and numbers, and sent all the other passengers on their way.
Again, thanks for all your kind thoughts and prayers. I guess time will tell now !
There is no way anyone from the infected countries in West Africa should be allowed to travel, period.
They took names and numbers, and sent all the other passengers on their way.

>>(Rich Burchett) Row 27 is the man sitting right next to sick person just interviewed on CNN. The man next to me nudged me and was speaking incoherently... he asked for help. He had his head between hands bent over - face covered with a towel - said his eyes were floating and hurt really bad. FA: Came and said what can I do, do you need medical assistance? Pt said yes to medical personnel. Another FA came back he described symptoms, they asked where are you from? He said LIberia. When they landed - row 25 through 28 was told they had to stay on plane (on that side)
The authorities came on with masks escorted him and his daughter off. 15/20 minutes later said everyone could deplane and hes not contagious!! Q - did they ask you to monitor yourself? A - Mot at that time. I was in baggage, then they came across loudspeakers, all officers do not let people from UA to leave. We waited for hours and hours. We finally got an announcement from CDC, we were told we were held out of an abundance of caution, we filled out our addresses, and given sheet for signs and symptoms for ebola.
Did you see him vomit? I did not see it. They put a mask on them and put him towards back of plane. I was very nervous. They allowed me to move across the aisle, before they moved him. Are you concerned? I feel fine, my concern is if this were something contagious we didnt have a good reaction time, we seem uncoordinated at the airport. Conflicting information, didnt know how to handle it.
What were others doing? The other passengers were patient until the end. Nothing had been mentioned as to why - then they were getting upset. First Officer said waiting for CDC then a quiet hush fell over plane. Was not told anything about traveling elsewhere.
