ABC News medical expert Richard Besser told This Week Sunday morning that there was a very real possibility one of the 3,000 U.S. troops being sent to west Africa to help fight the ebola outbreak could contract the virus.
Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases had discounted the possibility, pointing out that U.S. troops would be tasked with logistics, engineering, command and control, and setting up field hospitals. Certainly going over there, they could indirectly get contact, but their primary mission is not to take care of patients, Fauci said.
That wasnt the clickworthy answer host Martha Raddatz was looking for, so she re-asked the question to Besser, who complied. ADVERTISEMENT
Right now we have a situation where only 20% of patients with ebola are being treated in treatment units, Besser said. So there are a lot of patients who have ebola who are not in a protected environment. So the possibility of a soldier getting ebola is very real and something we have to be ready for.
Raddatz added that the military was prepared for that scenario.

If not that then “human error”...
Even the moronic reporters at alphabet networks can state the obvious.
This is part of Obama’s plan. Send soldiers to Africa to be infected by Ebola then airlift them to Iraq to be captured by ISIS, thus killing off ISIS without dropping another bomb or firing a shot. Yes, a few Americans will die hideous deaths but Obie doesn’t love our soldiers anyway.
Sorry, Clinton was and is a malignant sociopath and a narcissist - just about any of his appearances on TV prove that beyond reasonable doubt.
We just don’t remember it all that well because the current megalonarcissist and malignant sociopath occupying White House make faded memories of Clinton look benign only by comparison.
While Clinton cared enough about people liking him either personally or professionally - to save his job and perks - Obama simply doesn’t care about either, as long as he can advance his agenda, armed with only “a phone and a pen”, if necessary.
I’ll take “vectors” for $500, Alex
