Health care person gets up close and personal - tells patient to "say aah" while holding mouth open and peering in. Puts stethescope to patient and tells him to "breathe deeply".
Lots of ways for unsuspecting health care folks to get exposure. Not to mention that the jury's not yet out on family.
I am sure they were on the list, but it is a “self-report” situation...the health care worker in question reported a low grade fever on Saturday. Officials aren’t isolating anyone until they show symptoms because supposedly you cannot infect someone until you “show symptoms”...that may be the subject of some further discussion!
Obama owns this mess.
Any rational person stops flights for a disease with no cure and (up to) a 21 day incubation period.
Yep, on snooze control....
People scream southern borders wide open but ask them to go down there with you to catch illegals and drug smugglers coming across and they are too busy with this or that. But want something done....
People scream man our government is screwing us and taxes too high. Ask them exactly how much taxes they are paying in a year TOTAL and they cannot tell you or tell you a proposal of what to do to fix it.
On and on and on....snooze control. As long as the microwave is working life is gooooood..
I don’t wish to start a Anglo flamewar, but I cant help thinking that if the UK had suffered the Ebola problems the US has been, FreeRepublic and the US right webworld/blogosphere, Fox News etc, would be full of how useless the Brits are, how the NHS is useless and killing people. We Brits and our country would be getting torn to shreds here.
That said, I hope to God that America overcomes its current Ebola problem, for all our sakes. I am not a religious person, but America and its people are in my thoughts and prayers. Be strong, you will triumph.

It sure seems loopy to let people who have been in contact
with a confirmed Ebola case to walk around loose until symptoms
develop. The hospital knew who was on staff for the first visit.
So,they get a fever? Then what? Everyone they come in contact with
has been exposed until the new victim decides on their own to get
medical treatment.
Sorry the ABC new team got quarantined, but that’s the way it should
work. This whole scheme has got to be thought up by a Master of Disaster.
Thank You.
Great catch! That needs to be spread far and wide.
The CDC is complicit with obama in the deaths of any from ebola in this country.
Same question. If a lady in a space suit gets it we are all dead
The Usurper was illegally installed in office by the two major political parties. They and their supporters are responsible.
Blows my mind that they didn’t put the initial contacts in quarantine. I don’t like the fact that they don’t mention that she was on the contact list which would mean she wasn’t on paid furlough.
They forgot the part 'We think'.
You are right.
The health care worker reported a low-grade fever Friday night and was isolated, the health department said. The preliminary test result came in late Saturday.
This may not have been in the initial story, though.
The thing is, the administration has to be scrambling at that hospital, feeling all kinds of heat from the rest of the nation for “failing” to save a man who told lies to everyone and exposed his own family to this illness...
The Children’s Hospital in Denver, which is where I saw really early reporting on the outbreak of EV-68, said it is known. But the magnitude and early outbreak this year is unusual.
But, we did have it before these kids were distributed throughout the country. It could be that the numbers of them coming into contact with kids who had no exposure before is a problem.
I can try to find the source, but someone questioned that in this past week on FR and there was a reply about the family members bleached themselves every day. Bathed in it.
That that is what the Africans in the affected areas are doing, also.
