From the article:Talk about talking out of both sides of your mouth!!

Frieden has made statements like that before. Maybe he's in favor of country quarantines but can't say so because it would be "racist" or "politically incorrect."

Unless you are in Liberia rolling around in Ebola blood tainted blood, the chances of you getting struck by lightening is much greater than getting Ebola.

As far as I know, we don't willingly import lightening into the United States. If they or you want to be stupid with Ebola, go ahead.

It’s not stupidity, it’s just a casual understanding of statistics and the ability to determine risk.

If you want to worry about risk, think of thousands of people on planes right now flying in from Asia with the the flu that will kill thousands.

Someone asked you if you are better off with the flu or Ebola. I would like to see that answer also.

The current outbreak originated with one person—or a handful at most. These regime gangsters think they are talking to children.

Hours later, Frieden stressed that “protecting Americans is our number one priority.”

Riiight :(

“If 4500 people per month fly in the to US from Liberia and Ebola impacted nations, that means that there will be a grand total of two people with Ebola coming in per month.”

that assumes that most of those coming into the US haven’t had a similar exposure to that of Eric Duncan, and aren’t flying here in hopes that they will have a better chance for survival than if they had stayed in Africa?

I agree with you that your understanding of statistics is casual. Beyond that I disagree.

The airport screening cannot find the majority of infections, which are in people in the incubation period.

I have accepted that advocating for a travel ban is counterproductive (since so many people are bitterly against it). Perhaps a 30-day quarantine would be easier to sell?

What’s funny is that plenty of organizations other than the federal government have a better grasp on ebola than the federal government.

Even funnier: Most people over the age of 16 have a better grasp on the Ebola situation than the federal government.

I don’t remember seeing this about British Airways suspending flights to Siera Leone and Liberia until Dec 31...but, maybe I missed it.

..."The number of travelers is relatively small. We're talking about 150 per day," Frieden told a news conference on Wednesday. He announced that questionnaires and temperature checks will begin at five major U.S. airports that handle "95 percent of all the 150 travelers per day who arrive from these three countries"

What is the point of questionnaires, when it seems like people know the "correct" answers and give those answers without regard to the truth?

British Airways suspending flights to Siera Leone and Liberia until Dec 31.

That's a start, but just banning flights to those countries won't stop the infected from crossing borders.

Governments around the world need to start restricting entry based on passports. Those holding passports from infected countries should be turned back at all ports of entry.

15 to 20% of people get the flu each year.

Therefore, I’m more concerned about the flu.

Zero Americans have died of Ebola.

Approximately fifty Americans will be killed by lightening this year.

I can’t worry myself about being hit my lightening and I won’t worry about Ebola.

1) Political Correctness. Cultural Marxism.

2) Obama WANTS lots and lots of Americans to get Ebola.
