As ISIS continues to advance on the Syrian town of Kobani and close in on Turkey’s border, experts in Islamic radical movements think the terror group may merge with its al-Qaeda mother organization soon. Together, the group would represent the greatest terror threat to the civilized world.
“I think Britain, Germany and France will witness significant attacks in their territories by the Islamic State. Al-Baghdadi [the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, otherwise known as ISIS] may reconcile with al-Zawhiri [the leader of the al-Qaeda central organization] to fight the crusader enemy. The attacks by the United States and her allies will unite the two groups,” said Hisham al-Hashimi, an Iraqi researcher who just finished writing a book about ISIS based on his unique access to the organization’s documents and years of research and advising Iraqi security forces. al-Zawahiri
“I have been monitoring al-Qaeda’s leaders’ rhetoric towards Baghdadi. They are getting softer and softer….The Islamic State, regardless of how big or small it becomes, will come back to its mother: al-Qaeda,” he added.
The break between the Islamic State and al-Qaeda ISIS and al-Qaeda have a long, tangled history with one another. ISIS was the al-Qaeda official branch in Iraq until last February. However, they finally split after disagreements over operations in Syria.
The recent US intervention in the region along with the new US-led airstrike campaign against ISIS has actually forced the two groups to renew negotiations. For example, recent reports suggested that ISIS and al-Nusra Front are together planning the war against...

Looks to me like it's more than a potential forming up there. ..and moving rapidly to do so. Add to that all the derelicts from outside those folds and you have the makings pretty much set and ready....just a matter of time.

BTW...why isn’t there any outcry from anyone in Congress but precious few? Many there do understand this threat so why sit on their hands?

ISIS and al-Qaeda combining would, indeed, be bad.
Would it cripple the civilized world. Only if the Liberals and the PC-ers keep us from stopping it.
What is needed it the determination to just annihilate them without mercy. ISIS is a plague on civilization and needs to be eradicated. No mercy and no survivors.
The Imperial One will never allow us to be successful in wiping out this plague.
The USA air attacks are harmless.....fact is: Obama is one of them....the Muslim Brotherhood/ISIS/Hamas/Al Qaeda/Taliban!!!! American voters need to wake up very fast and destroy the entire Democrat Party, politically, come election day, November 4, 2014!!! Do it...our great country is at stake!!!

Because the Anerican people aren’t ready yet. There will have to be another Pearl Harbor or 9/11 before the American people wake up and thereby get in the right frame of mind for an all out war.
I’ve been saying since day one that this punk in the White house is a radical Muslim, his very first day in office Jan. 20th 2009 he tried to close Gitmo. His #1 priority above EVERYTHING ELSE was to his Islamo-Nazi brothers as soon as he stepped into that Oval office, and he’s done nothing else BUT that. How much more evidence do people need? The Democrat in all their idiocy put THE ENEMY in the nations highest office!!! And Congress KNOWS it and they do nothing! They are beyond contempt. Just wait till after the midterms, he is going to immediately stop whatever little “airstrikes” he is doing.

Just asking …. (and if you don’t have an answer, we are in big trouble!) If you do NOT have an answer, then PLEASE SHARE this posting so we can see if anyone can answer this.
Here is what I know that has happened since we started the airstrikes:
1/ ISIS is taking over Kobani — a Syrian town near border of Turkey - and this is huge!
2/ ISIS has also taken over control of the crossing between Kobani and Turkey meaning the civilians of Kobani can not escape and no supplies can get in to help them - and this is terrible!
3/ Anbar, Iraq’s largest province, is, in the words of the Pentagon ‘in flux’ [which I believe to be code for falling to ISIS]
4/ ISIS is 8 miles outside Baghdad [two weeks ago it was about 50 miles — so this is big ISIS progress]
5/ ISIS is armed with ‘shoulder to air missiles’ and knows how to use them [in the last few days have taken down two Iraqi helicopters] - that means the skies are not safe.
In short — ISIS is GAINING ground and control.
So tell me…what are the SIGNS that the AIRSTRIKES ARE WORKING?
