Kill a tree, choke a fish. “What difference does it make now?”

If they ban bags in Cauliphonya, what are they going to call “bag ladies” and “bag men”? DemocRAT fundraisers?

california supermarkets...at least the ones I frequent, now charge a dime for a paper bag.

now thats progress...isnt it.

we’ve come a long way baby.....from “Save a Tree. Use Plastic..”..through Paper or Plastic”...all the way to being charged for a container to carry our purchases home in.

California..”where.yesterday’s solutions...are tomorrow’s problems”

Ah, yes. I remember that from the pre-paper-or-plastic era 4 decades ago. Couldn't go anywhere without having to walk through a "torrent" of paper grocery sacks in parks and waterways.

Thank goodness the Libs just recently got styrofoam containers banned in some locations. That will spread nationwide soon.

No plastic containter. No paper containers. No styrofoam containers. Then, life will be near-perfect. You want Wendy's chili? Will that be one handful or both? Hold out your hand(s). Gee, that will even help Michelle's war on food. A two-fer for the Libs.

We have a wonderful renewable source for paper bags...trees.

No one complained in years gone by. They were great for draining French fires, wrapping raw garbage, waste baskets, wrapping presents, boot trays...etc etc.

Of course I use my plastic bags for garbage...but nothing else.

Go back to "growing trees for the people" instead of some stupid owl".

I also shop at Aldi...but not big shopping like when my kids are little. I use a cloth bag over and over. Haven't died yet from the "germs".

Wouldn’t have any problems if the SLOBS who live in these green states would NOT LITTER and use the bags again at home.

Why don’t the social psychologists who motivated the nation into recycling get the illegal immigrants and poor to have some self respect and take of what they want instead of trashing everything handed to them. Oh, that’s right, it has been proven that if something is easy to acquire it is not viewed as worthy. If something is hard to acquire then it is viewed as very valuable.

Hence, the Few, the Proud, the Marines.

The communists have ruined this nation and they have accomplished it knowingly.

Been using insulated and reusable bags for years. Just a stupid kerfluffle. The only thing moderately annoying is not having free bags to carry with me for dog poop. For refrigerated food an insulated bag is a MUCH better way to go.

That said, it is silly that we went from renewable and biodegradable paper to plastic in the first place. Sort of like going from global winter, to global warming to climate change.

I used use plastic bags for garbage and kitty litter. Now days, they intentionally put holes in the bottoms so you can’t reuse them for anything.

“Silly” in what respect? The liberals pushed for the move from paper to plastic in the first place to “save the trees”. They never admit they are wrong about anything. (Next move will be to hemp bags, if it can be deemed “sustainable”.)

Double up on them and they won’t leak.

Ostensibly, of course, the holes are to prevent kids (to whom liberals want to give “rights”) from suffocating themselves.

it takes SEVEN trucks to carry the same number of paper bags as ONE truckload of plastic bags...

look for the teamsters to push for the ban

SB270, authorizes a 10-cent fee for paper bags that are now often provided for free.

I am sure that the stores have already factored in the prices of these bags to your overall bill. Nothing is free. Now they just want you to pay for them twice.

How are the homeless going to store their cans?

It was bad enough with the paper bag ban, guys at bars panicked at closing time when beer goggles just weren’t enough. Those green mesh bags just don’t cut it.

What’s the world coming to?

And the railroads are too choked up with coal and oil deliveries to our enemy Red China to worry about rail deliveries of either kind of bag, too. Hmm.
