The problem is that it is up to the State legislatures, or Congress, to write a law that will withstand Constitutional scrutiny. Heck, we can’t even get a law out of the 7th Circuit without Posner laughing at it (naturally, everyone blamed Posner instead of blaming themselves).

I think that’s a reasonable comment. The question is, is there a way to approach this that meets bare Constitutional muster? These days, these idiots, I’m not convinced.

We are a Judeo-Christian society. I don’t think anyone ever thought 2% of our society would be able to wrestle marriage away from heterosexuals. They didn’t expect to see it being sold along with the full LGBT agenda either. Next we’ll see “Howard” demanding he be able to wear his transgender garb to school to teach a class. Somewhere along the line, the train has come off the rails.

Is it a double standard to seal marriage only for heterosexuals? Perhaps so, but civlization itself is reliant on the best solid family values.

A male and female role model being necessary for the development of healthy children to adults, it would seem a given that male male and female female parings would fail the societal weighted merits test.

Can that be written in some way? I don’t know. If I were a supreme, I’d find a way to back the sanctity of marriage even if I had to cross a few lines to do it.

This is a very important issue, because it’s a gateway movement. We can see where this is headed. We can see how our school curriculum has been breached. We know certain milestones are ahead, and are seeking to avoid them.

Maybe I’m nuts, but I don’t think a 1960s Supreme Court would have had a tough problem finding Homosexual parity with Heterosexuals as it relates to marriage, to be too tough a problem to sort out.

You miss the point of WHY laws started being written to oppose calling two perverts of the same sex that get their rocks off with each other marriage?

The 'laws' were a response to Leftists waging a war on self-evident truths and the historically time tested common laws, customs and institutions premised upon them.

Homosexuals are 'winning' because the black robes have moved the bar and pretty much muzzled the reality of self-evident truths and the historically time tested common laws, customs and institutions premised upon them which can be ignored now as 'irrational'.

You know what else is irrational? Those unalienable rights endowed by a Creator.
