Nada. I have a history professor now who said something like, "we got away from B.C. because it's based on the birth of Christ, to B.C.E. Which is based on the birth of Christ."
I do have some fun with a little pedantry, though. "Dude, it's '200 BC', but it's NEVER '200 AD'. It's 'AD 200.'"
I don't have many friends...
You're in the right place then.

LOL. Yes, the "common era" IS based on the birth of Jesus Christ. EVERYONE with a brain knows that, but "B.C." REQUIRES saying "Before CHRIST" and the BCE doesn't.
Apparently is DOES matter, especially to those in the media where WORDS are EVERYTHING.

THAT anomaly is as important as gnat droppings in pepper.
It possibly had something to do with ancient Roman grammar or something.
He was born in the year 200 before Christ.
He was born in the year of Our Lord 200.
Whether anyone likes it or not we measure TIME, that is, HISTORICAL DATES by the birth of Jesus.
That is no small thing. Coincidence? Hmmmmmmm.
