The strange three-way Senate race in South Dakota heated up this week with a new poll showing the GOP nominee’s lead shrinking — and with the revelation that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee will commit $1 million to the race, largely to fund ads attacking him.

The Republican frontrunner, former Governor Mike Rounds, is competing with Democrat Rick Weiland and the state’s former Republican Senator, Larry Pressler, who now identifies as an Independent....

You’re assuming that all the Conservatives who claim that they won’t donate a dime to the GOPe orgs (RNC, NRSC, etc) ARE turning around and donating, at the same level, directly to candidates and the Conservative PACs (Heritage Action, SCF, etc).

I’m not sure thats actually happening. If it was, as you said the money should be there.

The beef is that in too many states a Libertarian or “conservative” Republican is running against the GOP nominee in the name of purity, and is sure to hand the state to the Dems. Getting old.

The odds now are 70-30 that Republicans will take the Senate, the RATS would have nothing to offer Pressler to caucus with them.

I wouldn’t doubt that Manchin will switch parties too.

Another RAT senator has said he may switch too if R’s take the Senate, but I forget the name/state, Angus King- Maine?

Hairy Reed is toast. We will net no less than 7 seats.

The GOPe’s policies are 0bama’s policies, but the GOPe gets to control who feeds at the trough.

Amnesty.
Gay Marriage.
Spending Increases.
More Deficits.
Big Government Programs (Medicare Part D)
Defend Romney0bamaCare

Demographics in this country are changing. Once reliable Red States are turning Purple.

It's not so much demographics as several lies that the voting populous believes: the biggest being that there are only two parties.
When you're stuck w/ only two parties, one of which pursues its stated goals and the other which only talks, which are you going to vote for?
Given that the above accurately describes the Democrat and Republican parties, respectively, is it any surprise that the feckless [and therefore useless] party is dying?

The biggest lie believed by the electorate is

“It’s Government’s job to provide my healthcare/housing/student loans/birth control/retirement/prescription drugs/cell phone/etc.”

I meant biggest as in “most widespread” — there’s a surprising number of conservatives and Republicans which buy into the two-party lie, making it truly transcend political ideologies.

BINGO.

For all the happy talk we hear from “Conservative pundits”, our dear Republic is changing and it ain’t changing back.

The creep of Libtardism and, even more significant, a titanic change in demographics ensures where we are going. It is still going to take a little while (15 years or so) but the handwriting is on the wall.

Could it be the GOP never controls the message because they always run hacks? I have rarely seen a good campaign by a republican. They allow the Dems to drive the process, and they hardly ever hit back.

If we keep allowing the likes of Daschle to focus the election on abortion, we will never win.
