David Greco, cofounder and executive director of ARTE Inc., said Wednesday hes confident police will be able to identify the individual who vandalized one of the organizations Heroes & Icons posters at City Hall earlier this week.
The unidentified vandal scrawled the word asesino, the Spanish word for murderer, in black ink atop the shoulder of the Argentine Marxist-Leninist revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara.
Greco said a police report has been filed and City Hall security personnel are reviewing surveillance camera footage. The exhibit, which went up Sept. 22 to honor Hispanic History Month, includes approximately 40 posters depicting Latino historical figures.
Weve heard from a few people who complained about the Guevara poster, Greco said. But this exhibit is not just for heroes. Its also for icons.

The truth hurts, doesn’t it, you commie basturd.
The one main difference between Che and Stalin/Hitler, is that Che did his own torturing and killing, including teenagers.
Hitler and Stalin got their psychopathic henchmen to do the dirty work.
It is estimated that Che killed over 1,000 people by himself, usually with a gunshot to the back of the head. Firing squads did the rest (including anti-Batista freedom fighters who didn’t want communism as a replacement - such as the brother and uncle of the wife of the late Paul Bethel, a onetime major supporter of Castro).
Humberto Fontava has written some of the best articles on who and what Che Guevera was, a sadistic torturer and mass killer, just the type of person that Marxist New Haven, Conn. would like. The Communist Party of Conn./New Haven, led by Joelle Fishman and with strong ties to Rep. Rosa de Laurio (D-CT), has a very strong influence on New Haven and possibly even Connecticut Democratic politics.
See www.keywiki.org for more on Connecticut, Fishman and the CP of Conn. Photos included.
Then you will understand why Che is so big up there.
Don’t forget Ted Bundy and Charles Manson. They have their admirers, too. I mean, be fair.
Do Che’s fans recall his most famous quote?
“I’m Che Guevara! I’m worth more to you alive than dead!!”
(as he stared down the gun barrels of Bolivian soldiers)
One of my former workers had a Che belt buckle
As someone who studied Che and knew folks who fought with and against him
I schooled the lad....
He’s now dead......he and Che
Che was gay...
Exactly.
Che’s “most famous quote” didn’t do him a lot of good, did it?
One very sick communist killer. Now resigned to T-shirts for braindead American aholes.
Wardaddy: You went to one tough school.
To #16: re the picture of actor Shawn Wallace and the word “Inconcievable”.
Did you know that Wallace is a hardcore, avowed communist? He shows up in a lot of protests as a sponsor. Without my docs here, I believe he is/was associated with the Workers World Party fronts IAC and ANSWER, some Marxist groups in Canada, etc.
Check at www.keywiki.org and www.DiscoverTheNetwork.org under his name and see what pops up.
He was very good in “Princess Bride” but he’s still a hardcore enemy of America.
That figures, typical Hollywood commie. Not only are they commies they’re also a bunch of junkies.
Two revolutions. It was one revolution parasitizing the original.
So did they do one for Richard Ramirez as well, then???
I am Spartacus!
He was a troubled boy.....sharp but poorly informed.....I first realized it when he complained of a bad lumbar and I offered him one 10 mg percocet and he insisted he needed 5-6 at a time for effectiveness
I thought whoa boy you’ve got a problem
He ended up of course stealing from me and I fired him.....the money he stole poetically led to his overdosing on H a few weeks later.....
Pity his poor mom and twin who both loved him...hell I liked him too to be honest....he looked like a straight Tom Ford.....very handsome
His poor mom found him....at 9am..gray and dead with his works still beside him....drier blood on his arm
Misjudged the shot....been dead all night
Icons are objects of veneration. Che deserves only scorn.
I was thinking the same thing....I guess no one teaches “i before e, except after c” anymore.
Que bueno!
