There are always 3 choices for the active voter:

1.) Hold you nose and vote for a GOP candidate.

2.) Vote for a non GOP candidate.

3.) Leave the offending candidate slot empty.

In the UN, # 3 is called Abstain, and in the US Senate it is called Present.
