Plagues are usually used by God to get us on our knees. So, I will add the families of these Marines to my list. It is getting longer.
Marines?
Fighting disease?
Unarmed again.. Against perilous odds.
Times change, politicians don’t.
It seems to me that They are riding.
They should bring their flame throwers and re-enact the battle of Iwo Jima.
From the article.
“The Marine unit will provide supply and transportation assistance for the anti-Ebola effort until Army units arrive later this month to take over the possibly year-long mission.”
“The 100 troops mostly Marines, along with some Navy corpsmen “
It is customary, when a president sends troops into harms way, that he drop in for a visit from time to time. Obama should honor this tradition.

this is treason though none dare call it that.
Lessee, we train the Army and the Marines to kill people, and break things, and we use the Peace Corps to teach hygiene and sustenance. So I think our Nobel Peace Prize winner picked the wrong group to face the Ebola menace.
We train the military in a great number of specialties, they are the ones we are using on this mission.
We are not sending over units that don’t fit into the mission.
Our military does have people who are trained to deal with agents like ebola.
I’m sure there numbers don’t even begin to come close to the several thousand troops that are headed into harm’s way.
Self deploying Ospreys with tanker aircraft. Lotta flight hours.
We aren’t sending 3,000 CBRN military people because that isn’t the mission.
Most of this is about construction and logistics and moving supplies, and teaching classes to produce up to 500 native medical helpers a week.
We are using engineers and Seabees, and supply and aviation logistics people, we are building 17 treatment centers of 100 beds apiece, and a 25 bed hospital for the health care workers to be treated in, and will be moving great amounts of supplies and materials.
Obviously, there is a mix-up: The Marines are going to Iraq and the drones are going to strike at ebola.
You say we.
How do you guys feel about going to ebolaland?
Do you see this as just another part of your job?
I don’t want to argue-I honestly wonder if you guys have any apprehension over this.
If you don’t more power to you.
Thank you all for your service.
I hope you all come home unharmed.
You forgot to add - and bring it back to the US.
I said we, America, we are the ones that tell the military where to go and what to do.
“”We arent sending 3,000 CBRN military people because that isnt the mission.””
“”We are using engineers and Seabees, and supply and aviation logistics people, we are building 17 treatment centers of 100 beds apiece, and a 25 bed hospital for the health care workers to be treated in, and will be moving great amounts of supplies and materials.””
I’ve been in the military a couple of times, if you were searching for some crack to make.
