Let me know how this cop has abided by the Constitution (and, specifically, conducted operations pertaining to gun & drug laws, and civil asset forfeiture) so I will know how I should feel. Keeping in mind that this is a separate issue from the moral character (or lack of it) of whoever pulled the trigger.

I am surprised at how few Chicago cops are killed/injured each year. I wonder if police no-go zones keep the numbers down.

Triple shooting suspect involved in shootout with Chicago Police
CHICAGO - A man wanted for three shootings in Indianapolis has reportedly been involved in a shootout that wounded a Chicago police officer.
Daniel Brown is wanted by police in Indianapolis for shooting three people last Saturday. His vehicle had been found in Indianapolis Sunday, but Brown remained on the run.
WMAQ-TV in Chicago reports the shootout happened in the 7200 block of S. Lowe Avenue on the city’s South Side. The Chicago Sun-Times reports the officer, a captain, was struck in the head and chest and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. snip
