A UN official warned of pending "humanitarian tragedies" and pleaded desperately with the world to intervene on behalf of Kurds trapped in a Syrian city near the Turkish border, as Islamic State fighters stood on the brink of taking it.
Kurds from villages throughout northern Syria have fled to Kobani for a final stand as the terrorist group has marauded across huge swaths of land, leaving a trail of death and destruction. With the city under siege for three weeks, the black-clad fighters have begun to raise their flag over neighborhoods and UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said the city was about to fall.

Isn't that the UN’s job? Useless idiots need to be booted out of NYC and the building sold as condos.
Soon to be ... Bush’s fault.
The latest city to fall today fell due to lack of close air support for the defenders from Obama. He is “concentrating” on Iraq despite the fact that Isis savages were moving hardly opposed in the OPEN as they advanced into the city.
The reaction to these fundamental Islamists is what has come to be expected from Obama.
There is absolutely no committment to stop these wanton murderers from the current occupier of the White House.
B52’s sit unused. There is no meaningful response from our military.
This is what we get when a community organizer is elected as commander in chief.
Why isnt Turkey fighting ISIS if things are so bad?
Because ISIS is Turkey.
Erdogan’s foreign policy surrogate anyhow. Their would be no ISIS Caliphate without Turkish support.
Yep, ask an Armenian about how merciful the Turks are.
Don’t leave out Fethullah Gulen.
A main issue here is the U.S. designated PKK, which is an affiliate of YPG Kurdish grp, as a terrorist grp because of Turkey. Partly why U.S. isn’t supporting YPG like she did peshmerga in iraq. This is very bad in the long run. YPG & PKK were the ones helping pesh in iraq fight I.S. and helped the Yezidis too. Now the U.S. is allowing their genocide in Syria. Then again says volumes about U.S. policy when Turkey has been supporting I.S. indirectly at least. VERY BAD..
