A definitive 20-year study into the effects of long-term cannabis use has demolished the argument that the drug is safe. Cannabis is highly addictive, causes mental health problems and opens the door to hard drugs, the study found.

“If you don’t mind adding chronic COPD, bronchitis and very possibly lung cancer at some point to his back pain then maybe not.”
And if you eat the MJ instead of smoke it, what lung damage do you get?
I went into a “medical marijuana dispensary” in Venice Beach CA out of curiosity. Much of what they sold was candy, cookies, butter (I can’t believe its Pot Butter on the label), brownies.
I think the stuff is toxic, but I’m just pointing out that you don’t have to smoke it.
No, it is not “highly addictive”.
Xanax is highly addictive.
Pot is not even remotely addictive, not in any sort of physical sense, not at all.
Pot destroys kids potential as soon as they start using it. Always has and always will. As a society we shouldn’t want to make kids think it is as harmless as we do. I realize the same argument can be made for drinking alcohol and that is also true. The availability, and higher potency of pot these days is decimating a whole generation of kids and that makes me very sad.
We just want the constitution that we have and we want these pot heads finished with the Federal law we have. It will be fun to watch.
Nope. We be coming. We are going to demand our laws be enforced. You don’t get to pick and choose. It is going to get real bad there and soon. You Democrats need to duck and cover.
Do you mean prohibition?
From my own observations over the years I would tend to agree with you in a very general sense. The stuff available today is a far cry from prior decades.
D’oh ,ever see a Cheech & Chong movie once they start smoking the crap they are Obsessed with it
Bullsh!t.
If not your entire premise, certainly a lagre portion of your malicious motive is based on that.
If I decided to smoke pot and pay taxes, how would that be of your concern? Or, if any other adult decided to do so and otherwise follow the law?
I’m not gonna argue with you cause you just don’t see the illogic of your own argument.
And that still justifies the SWATs, dead grandmas, crimeless asset forfitures, abrogation of 4A, etc, etc, etc. Up here in Alaska you’d be surprised at true conservatives that are going to give the feds the finger and vote yes on 2.
Like I said, the laws are to protect the rest of society from drunks and druggies.
What’s that you say?
All the dopers I went to High School with are now Multi-National Corporation Owners, and/or Banksters!
*SMIRK*
In REALITY, they’re STILL at the same Bowling Alley bars we hung out in back in the day. Stoners, still.
Yep. No ill effects whatsoever. ;)
Certainly, there is harm, it affects people differently, just like any drug.
Cigarettes.
Every druggie I ever knew (And I have known a few) smoked cigarettes.
Not all of them smoked pot or drank alcohol but they ALL smoked cigarettes.
And that is part of my dad’s problem...he goes through withdrawal before it’s time for the next dose every single day. He then self medicates with food and other things he should stay away from.
Look no further than Richard Branson and the likes of today, raking unexplainable profits under the guise of flashy business ventures serving as a cover.
Narco moguls and their offspring still rule on both sides of the Pond.
The worst part is that Chicoms use narco trade to prop up China. If one visits godforsaken places in China, there are lot of evidence crazy money flowed there even 30 years ago when there was no foreign investment of any kind.
Really? I have never heard that before. Where do you find this information?
I never mentioned any of that, funny you should segue to it like you did.
My whole entire argument is that pot does much more harm to people than good, physically and mentally. But you didn’t address that did you? You just want to paint me as supporting draconian govt enforcement activities.
Thanks a lot for the insult. I’ll remember it.
BACK IN THE DAY, unlike Bill Clinton, I inhaled a toke or two...Perhaps most people are different but one effect of the stuff was that it magnified all of my senses...
What ever motivated me to smoke the time I had a bad headache I'll never know but not only did it feel like an explosion took place in my head, I think I could actually see the pain...In color...
I just can't imagine smoking weed to relieve pain...
