Delayed response and mis-steps may have given Ebola the chance to spread.
Even a resident inside the apartment quarantined for potential Ebola contamination couldn't understand why she and her family were left to live for days with the Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan's contaminated belongings.
"Only the towel is in the plastic bag, but the rest of his stuff stayed the same on the bed," said the woman in the apartment, who goes by the name Louise. "The bed sheets, everything is on the bed."
A hazardous materials crew finally showed up Friday to bag up and sanitize the materials, four days after Duncan, who was staying at the apartment, was diagnosed with Ebola.
There are concerns that Ebola has had the chance to spread because officials have been slow to react and mishandled the case since the beginning.

pRes_ _ent Obola: "What difference does it make."
What is she crying for now, she wasn’t that concerned when she called her daughter in to fetch breakfast for the man.
That’s so wrong! I didn’t see a single picture of Bush in there and he’s only been out of office five years.
They knew he was in Africa on Sp 25th?!!
Just Daymn!
The daughter is heroic, took the man’s temperature, BP, forced him to go to the hospital, followed him to the hospital, then came back and sprayed as much of the apartment as she could with Clorox. Meanwhile her mother “Louise” sat around and whined AFAICT and now has a nice house with free food, etc. Dallas mayor’s friend probably gave it to her just to stop the whining.
Now that the clowns in the Federal Government have opened Pandora's Box I hope it strikes down the Government hacks responsible for the possibility of the plague being brought down upon us. By wiping out the vermin in the government we may be saved as a Constitutional Republic. God help the citizens if this disease breaks loose.
Given that it was in the records, this is more of a READING and computer usage problem.
Maybe they can train the rest of the staff and doctors how to do things on the computer that every year old knows how to do.
... and the ‘experts’ that fomented this damned escapade say, “Right On!”
IOW, the critics are trying to catch up with everyone else, except of course for the Obama voters.
Once the Progressives figure out that all the folks that are contracting Ebola are Democrat Voters, well now it will be addressed.
So, exactly what was stopping the residents of the apartment from cleaning up the obvious????
that was my first question, too
What do Ebola and Obamacare have in common?
Both are things American wished we didn’t have.
If you like your Ebola, you can keep your Ebola. ~ BHO
No wonder many people think they’re stupid. It shows a lack of resourcefulness and independent thinking, and it seems to be prevalent in the inhabitants of the Dark Continent. I don’t want to stereotype, but if it walks and talks like a duck, it usually is a duck.
So, exactly what was stopping the residents of the apartment from cleaning up the obvious????Not that I'm defending the woman's whining, but she does have a point about the clean-up. Without proper protective gear, she shouldn't be touching the man's used bedding & other stuff. What kind of clean-up could she do? Stuff his linens in a plastic garbage bag? The act of stuffing them is possibly/probably more dangerous than just letting them sit. Hazmat-suited personnel should have been in that apartment immediately to do a thorough clean-up & removal of all biohazard material.
