Shortages In spite of Donations, Why?
Donations have been pouring in from China, Belgium, the UK and many parts of the world. Even Liberians in U.S. Cities, Minneapolis, Washington and New York have been rallying to send supplies home. A chartered flight recently landed with the Chinese donation, including 10,000 PPEs and others anti Ebola materials at the Roberts International Airport recently. Local charity groups are also stepping in with contributions of their own.
Late last month (Aug. 24-31), the U.S. Government, through DART, airlifted more than 16 tons of medical supplies and emergency equipment to Liberia, including: 500 infrared thermometers to bolster Ebola screening efforts; 5,000 body bags to be distributed to areas of need, 10,000 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE); 2 water treatment units; portable water tanks, capable of storing 10,000 liters each; 100 rolls of plastic sheeting for use in construction of Ebola treatment units. Locally, the Americans disclosed that DART has purchased basic supplies including: -50,000 pieces of soap, 400 mattresses, -5,200 gallons of chlorine, 2,500 buckets and that USAID has provided WHO with 105,000 sets of PPE for healthcare staff and outbreak investigators in Ebola-affected countries.
So why are treatment centers short on supplies?
Fears are rising that a lot of those supplies are being sold on the black market already.
Last week, Montserrado County Senior Senator Joyce Musu Sumo Freeman alarmed that she purchased 25 stolen buckets, which were part of items donated to an institution by the Chinese Government for distribution to various communities. "The Chinese Government brought the buckets, testers to help you with lots of things but you keep selling it. I bought some myself," the Senator said.

Someone is shocked that donations to Africa fall into a black hole and never reappear? Really?
Liberal socialists taking advantage of a crisis.
So i read the entire article after reading the except.

Who is she speaking to? Nothing further is stated about missing items despite the title. Ugh.
Aside from that the people there on the front lines are true heroes.

Yeah, kinda like giving something to the U.N. -— like Iraqi oil.....
Libs wrote the book on fraud and deceit...and can’t figure it out?
Must not’ve gotten their share of the loot, and now they’re complaining.
well, that’s why I culled the article. Perhaps a reporter with more resources than I can go indepth and investigative.
Impeach now
All donations sent to African countries ends up in a Swiss bank account.
Call me shocked!
Liberal elites have been getting kickbacks... oops I mean giving money to Africa for years... and the place never gets better... one wonders why...
