Todd Anthony Shaw, better known as rapper Too Short, may want to pack more lightly in the future. Police say a handgun was detected in the rapper's luggage as he went through the security screening checkpoint at Burbank Airport on Wednesday. Shaw then left the airport before police could detain him.

If this guy is a felon, and had illegal possession of a handgun, then the ATF should be paying him a visit.............oh, wait they’re busy giving AK’s to the Mexican Cartels.

“Shaw then left the airport before police could detain him.”
I don’t believe this for a second. It would have been a fellow rapper working in security that looked the other way.
Or a fan that developed sudden blindness.

Yup....exactly...
You and I would be faceplanted on the carpet...detained and facing serious fines...
Plus lose our ability to carry...

Plus lose our ability to carry...He's a convicted felon, and in California. He doesn't have the legal right to carry. If it were you or I we would be looking at ten years for being a felon in possession, plus the fines, plus evading arrest.

Had he been anonymous and white, he would probably not be allowed to walk.
Ever again.

Smart move. Should help his career.
Of course being shot by a rival rapper is always the BEST career boost, and dying from it is even better.

This is far more common than most people realize. When I was with TSA we encountered guns in carry on a fairly regular basis. Probably at least once a month that I was aware of The sheer stupidity always amazed me. They either forgot they had it so they claimed or they seemed to think that a xray scan would not pick it up.
The ones that amazed me were the pilots that were allowed to carry by the FAA and walked through a metal detector while carrying. There are designated procedures to handle an armed pilot but just walking through a metal detector was not among them. This was rare but it did happen.
