Can someone explain exactly what our troops are doing there? I understand concepts of humanitarian aid and all that, but is the military really set up to handle such a task?
I guess that I’m just mis-informed but I thought that this is what the WHO is chartered for.
If they were doctors ... maybe. But not otherwise.
The plague serves the double task of reducing the size of the military and obviating the need for ‘death panels’ at home. It’s a win-win!
I believe they are being sent over there to help the Liberian military pen people into death camps aka quarantine slums
all in the name of humanitarian work of course
imagine the lives and welfare of 4000 US troops in a 3rd world country where even touching a native can lead to death, and where African terrorists are aching (so to speak) to infect them using human biobombs
Obozo sees the military as his personal dirty jobs force.
I call this the abuse of the military. This is a job for the U.N. ,Red Cross etc.
I can't explain that but I think I CAN explain why he needs 1,000 more. You see -- Obama sent 3,000 troops into an ebola-infected hellhole. Over time many will come into possible contact with those with ebola or may get some sort of flu or something and show possible symptoms of ebola. So what do they do? Let them all just run free? I would think they would need to quarantine a lot of them over time. Thus he might need 1,000 more to replace those that get sick or become quarantined? Just my wild ass guess. Is this crazy or what? :-)
Combat engineers are remarkable. Yes. They can handle the task.
But they should be setting up HERE.
They can be sent by diktat. It is harder to force civilians to go to such places.
Ironically, I think their mission will be some type of border security.
“... but is the military really set up to handle such a task?”
A cogent question that our government never seems to ask before sending off our troops to all sorts of places where they should never have gone.
Sure, Obama’s human vectors, to attack his most hated nation, the United States of America.
Ditto your comment.
