Beans and cornbread. My grandma made the best. She’s been gone for 17 years now.
My Granny had a restaurant, and I loved to eat her cornbread and a bowl of beans. Course my other grandma and my mom were really good cooks too.
I had a friend that had corn bread and beans and taters every evening. She would ask if I could stay for supper, and her mom would always say we are only having beans and cornbread.
I’d say that’s my favorite, and she would laugh her head off.
